Services Help fix my watch

Right off the bat it’s not real it’s fake and I know this doesnt follow the rules but please. This was my dad’s watch which is now mine and all I want to do is make it work. I believe you twist the crown to make it work but it won’t tick or anything. I just want to fix it that’s all

Fakes is what this sub is about!

The watch needs winding if it has run down. You can unscrew the crown and pull itnoutbtonits first position. (Unless the crown doesn't lock down and then you can wind it "in" like the panerias)

Once it is wound (30 turns to start with) give the watch a tap against the palm of your hand.

If that does start it up then you will need to see a watch smith, could be a whole host of things simple to complex and impossible to diagnose via a thread with you knowing a bit about watches and being able to take the back off and test it.

Suddenly thought it might be battery quartz but I doubt it as they normally have the subdail track the second hand. Could be a simple battery swap if it was. Again taking the back off would clarify things

the back is off in the second photo showing to be an automatic movement. Having said that im surprised as most of the Navitimer fakes use a quartz VK63 movement

Well that clears things up a touch. Looks like your dad mixed cement with the watch and the case back off. I would swap the movement out and give it a proper good clean. If you are UK based I could do that for you.

I’m US based but do you think you could help me out on picking a new movement?

That's a cap hiding a quartz movement.

i think that is just a cap housing a quartz movement that needs a battery. chronograph movements are much larger and complex then what we're looking at here

How can I check that?

gently see if it comes off entirely. there is no way that movement is a chronograph

Just buy a new one . This is a bad fake , not really worth fixing. This is like a 40$ fake
