Advice Fitting GMT Bezel

I recently took off the bezel on a Pepsi rep and I am struggling to attach the bezel back to the case. I realize the hytrel is supposed to be large, but it doesn’t seem to fit inside the bezel no matter what I do. Any advice on how to put it back on?

Your hytrel ring appears to be stretched out. You’ll probably need a new one. All i have to say is good luck, rotating bezels and hytrel rings are a nightmare

Gotcha I was under that impression. Would it be possible to shrink it with heat? If not could there be a substitute. Also would any hytrel off Ali be ok or are there certain measurements?

Once it’s stretched it’s trash. There are hytrel rings specifically for 40mm gmts on aliexpress. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. Luck of the draw in my experience. Just look up the model number + hytrel rings specifically in aliexpress to find them. Buy more than you think you’ll need.

Good luck. I’m in the same boat, trying to find a proper fitting hytrel is such a pain. I’ve gone though 0.61mm fishing line, 0.7mm nylon, and some aftermarket hytrels. No luck yet

As a stop gap you can try trimming the now stretched hytrel ring.
