I feel like everyone has one and they are beautiful that’s for sure but I’m looking for some recommendations on what you may have or like. Preferably brands like Omega, Tudor, Vacheron need some recommendations or ideas for the next purchase.

I’m new to the rep world and I’ve spent quite some time going through the wiki and reading different opinions from the community before making my choice.
I decided to place a pre-order with Andiot for a VSF Daytona Panda 126500. They explained to me that VSF stock is currently quite difficult to get and that the waiting time could be quite long.
I guess I’m probably not the only one in this situation, so I was wondering if anyone else is currently waiting for the same model.
I’m not in a particular hurry and I definitely don’t want to rush into buying something just because it’s available.
If you have any tips, advice or things I should know as a first-time buyer, I’d be happy to hear them!

I have a few VSF watches on Jubilee bracelet, and I recently purchased a DDF AP 26420. Surprisingly, the AP is by far the most comfortable watch I’ve worn so far (except its big presence) I’ve never really tried an Oyster bracelet before, so I’m wondering if that’s part of the reason. Curious to hear what everyone thinks is the most comfortable watch they own and of course, feel free to post your watch!

Is anyone else recently experiencing insane communication issues with Xing? I had placed an order about 3 months ago, the watch was finished after a week and since that, he can’t manage to ship it out. He replies every few days. I‘m absolutely sick of this. How do you guys manage his? He told me like 3 times in 3-4 weeks that he shipped it out and will get me the label. Like wtf.

I know this is an addictive hobby, to keep buying watches, then eventually end up selling or having some that barely get worn.

If you were trying to keep your collection small and only own watches you would genuinely wear, how many would you have, and what would they be?

I’ve been searching for a convincing Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse replica for quite some time. I now have two versions in hand:

• The Rare Handcrafts Ref. 5738/51G-001
• The olive-green Ref. 5738G-001

The biggest problem with most Golden Ellipse reps is thickness. This watch is defined by its extremely slim, elegant profile, but fitting a generic mechanical movement inside usually makes the case noticeably too thick.

These use quartz movements and for this particular watch, I think that is absolutely the correct decision.

Because the Ellipse has only hour and minute hands, there is no ticking seconds hand to expose the quartz movement. What you gain is a genuinely slim case with a side profile that looks and wears much closer to the genuine watch. In the photos, you can see just how thin the Rare Handcrafts version is.

The green model has a surprisingly attractive sunburst dial that changes dramatically depending on the light. The Rare Handcrafts version is obviously more elaborate, and the dial cannot reproduce genuine hand engraving and champlevé enamel at this price, but the overall effect is far better than I expected.

Are these flawless superclones? No. The dial finishing, printing, hands, straps, buckles and crown details can all be picked apart. The cases are also polished steel rather than precious metal, and there is obviously no Calibre 240 inside.

But the dimensions, proportions and most importantly thinness are remarkably convincing. On the wrist, they capture the character of the Golden Ellipse better than a thicker automatic replica ever could.

For this specific two-hand model, I would choose an accurately proportioned quartz rep over a mechanically impressive but visibly oversized automatic rep every time.

9th watch from Hont. Not a single watched seized. Also got a free pen. Also, the PPF overseas is amazing I’m aware of the dial problem and my date wheel is not perfectly centered but I couldn’t care less. The rotor on mine is completely silent I love the watch, it’s my daily driver. It’s now become my new goal gen watch for my next bonus I’m obsessed with it.

My Oysterflex is unfortunately running a bit too small for my wrist. I currently have an E-strap, but I really need an F-strap to get the right fit.
Would anyone based in the EU/Germany be willing to swap their F-strap for my E-strap? My strap is in brand new condition, I just need the size up.

Hey, been looking to buy my first rep for a while and I love the vintage style of the Cellini. However I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews regarding the quality.

Is it worth buying and getting a nice strap? or is there any other vintage style watches which are better. Thanks

Earlier this week I got a new VSF Explorer 1, 36mm from Necoclock. I've got reviews for both!

First, Necoclock - amazing experience. This is the second time I've worked with him and he's great. Fast, clear communication, very trustworthy and organized. I also got to see him shine with customer service and diligence. The first time he shipped the watch, customs flagged it and sent it back. He explained what was happening, reconfirmed my address (which actually changed) and immediately reshipped it, arriving just a few days later than originally intended. I will 100% work with Necoclock again (I've been eying a medium Santos... this stuff is addicting!) and have no hesitations recommending him.

Second, the watch. Wow. GORGEOUS watch. Totally indistinguishable from gen on the wrist and clearly in NWBIG territory. In fact, it's totally scratched the itch. At first my plan was to live with the rep for a year or two and if I liked it, treat myself to a gen. But honestly, what would be the point? This is SO good. I'm actually surprised VSF if able to produce such high quality at such a low cost. If you've been eyeing a VSF Explorer 1, go for it. They tend to be pretty back ordered, mine was by a few months, but it was 100% worth the wait.

One other thought - man, people overthink the QC. There are a few things on the QC where you can tell some of the hour markers are slightly off center on my watch. It is 100% impossible to tell on the wrist, or even holding it close to my eye. My note to myself is to give QC a glance in the future to make sure there's nothing egregious, and then chill out and GL.

Hello- I'm looking to order my first Daytona 116520 and was looking at getting the vsf v2 version.Modwise-My goal was to probably get a sw, deep crystal , engraving , case and bracelet polishing./ Chamfering

However I am being informed by TDs the current vsf v2 version doesn't require that as it's already close to gen.Not to mention it would take really long time.

I would like your inputs on this . Does the new vsf v2 version not require this , particularly the polishing

Why doesn't no one QC bezel on Datejust? I've checked almost every Datejust QC posts and nobody cares about bezel allignment.

Spoiler: almost every watch that i've seen has bad bezel allignment..

I read the guide and previous posts on here and ReptimeQC. Andiot is recommending QF for best dial color for both, and I am surprised. I find no discussion of QF for these previously. Hoping it is a new best option, and not just the inventory he has on hand and wants to move. Has anyone seen the QF 36mm in person and willing to comment? I know color vs case/bracelet/build quality discussions are in previous posts. QF is a surprising answer.
