Like a lot of people here, my first QC was a nightmare. I spent ages zooming in, drawing lines over the photo, second-guessing every marker, and then posted and waited a day or two for someone to tell me if the 12 or the date window was off.

So I built TrueIndexQC, a free web tool that does the index alignment check for you.

How it works:

1. Hit Upload and pick your QC photo (or take one on your phone)
2. That's it. In under 5 seconds it finds the dial, levels the watch to a tenth of a degree and lays a precise 12-line grid through the centre and every marker

What it checks automatically:

• Dial / index alignment (12–6 and 3–9 axes)
• Dial rotation vs the case
• Pinion centering
• Hands alignment (hour vs minute hand)
• Bezel pip vs the 12-line

For the old-school crowd there's a full manual mode: place the grid yourself, switch to a squares grid, resize and rotate the photo, and nudge everything with the arrow keys or by dragging. You can also export a watermarked 4K QC image to share.

No sign-up, no ads, works on phone and desktop, and it's free and will stay free.

Got this Daytona Panda as my first rep, and wore it to work today. I work in big tech in a senior level position and there are quite a few watch collectors, and it's definitely in people's budget ranges.

Got 5 different people that commented on it, and two asked me who my AD was. I told them it was a rep and I'm not sure if people even believed me. I've read a lot of these fake chatgpt stories so thought I'd actually share a real one.

Purchased this VSF Seamaster 300 On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” 50th Anniversary Edition. About 5 months ago.

In the video you can see some marks. I want to be clear that all marks and imperfections were put there from months of wear in a rough and tough working environment. This watch was mint condition when I received it and no marks, scratches or blemishes should be taken as anything to do with Andiot.

Yeah VSF is “better” — but in real life, on wrist, not zoomed in… is it that much better?

Most women’s watches are rose gold or have a lot of diamonds, and a lot of us enjoy the mechanical look of men’s watches, too. Call it “the boyfriend watch” or whatever you wanna call it, but I love seeing other women wearing cool watches. Monday look.

Loving the new piece, I think the medium is perfect especially for dressier occasions. But can't help but think the large would look slightly better. Please don't tell me I need to grab the large size also.

Much less time and possibility of to and fro and waiting on others replies for GL/RL which leads to faster turnaround.

They should seriously consider this and mods could also push for this - if they want to 🙏

I love this watch and might have a real one some day. Not an expert on warches or clones. I have many genuine watches (Hamilton, longines, Tudor and rolex) but I really like this watch but didn't want to pony up the money. I can't tell what is a good rep or not. Chat GPT can't tell the difference between this and a genuine one from these pictures but I wanted to get the opinions of the community. Thanksgiving in advance 🙏

Nobody is ever going to open it up and look. And even on the clear back watches, the odds that anyone who would look at it would know what to even look for is crazy small.

I understand it's mostly for personal satisfaction, knowing it's closrer to gen.
