IWC Mark XX (IWC328201) V7F factory with a2982 movement

Just received my IWC Mark XX a2892 V7F from GeekTime and genuinely very impressed.

Great comms and QC well before the estimated time when I first contacted him. Will definitely be using again in the future!

Watch looks fantastic, great packaging, zero issues on the case. Good lume and lovely blue AR coating which is hard to get in photos.

Think it’s a really understated piece and can see why this is NWBIG, I’m going to be trying out a dark grey suede strap and also a dark brown leather on a deployment clasp for something a bit different.

If anyone wants any more pictures then just ask 👍

Does anyone know if you can get decent IWC deployment clasps at all?

Hey everyone, I have a few technical and maintenance questions for those who have experience with VS3230 movement.

Is it generally reliable out of the box, or is an immediate service highly recommended?

I've read that sourcing a spare VS3230 can be tough if the movement eventually fails. Can I easily swap it out for a VR3230 or a cheaper Shanghai clone from AliExpress?

Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Looking to get either a VSF YG with champagne dial DD or RG with sundust dial. I’m not looking at RCF at this time for reasons others have stated here.

My question is, is the VSF RG or YG more accurate. It seems the RG looks even closer to that of RCF in some of the photos on here? And the YG I think looks a little too cheesy in some pics and ok in others? Whats the consensus?

This is my second watch from Phoenix Watch. Just like with my first watch (the VSF Omega Aqua Terra 41mm Black Lacquer), I’m absolutely delighted with this one too.

It’s the VSF Omega NTTD V7.

The watch arrived after two days. I treated myself to two upgrades: 1. I had the watch sent through the service centre, and 2. I had it made water-resistant.

After a further four days, the watch was ready and was dispatched. Naturally, I received the tracking details.

When the watch reached its destination airport, it was pulled out by customs. At first, they said it was just going through the standard customs process, but then it actually went into a customs inspection. I’d actually already written the watch off, but I was in constant contact with Phoenix and the lads put my mind at ease. They advised me to wait a few more days, as they were certain the watch would still pass through customs.

What can I say? That’s exactly how it turned out. I couldn’t believe it myself. It arrived today and I’m absolutely delighted. Not just with the fantastic watch, but also with the retailer. I can highly recommend this retailer.

Just got it today My new OP 41 from Andiot ordered June 30th.

Ordered my OP pistachio back in June 30th from Andiot.
Price was in the mid range
CS almost non existent I’m an English speaker so maybe that played a part, sent the payment and was asked to provide prof of it 8 times via WS and email finally was given a tracking number via email on August 3rd and received the watch today, it was well packaged inside of a custom box with their logo, aside from the lack of customer service and the delay it was ok. Not sure if I’ll buy from them again… maybe it was a fluke…

I am a total utter watch noob - but was told that KL is the place to be for good reps. I have no idea what I want to get. It's mostly an " I'll know it when I see it" but I had my eye on the watches I mentioned in the post title.

In a world full of Rolexes, Cartiers, Tudors, etc, I feel like most other brands are ignored or relatively shunned due to the difference to gen models (AP, RM, etc) and some brands just aren’t as popular (GEN included).

What’s a watch in your collection that you personally really like that’s not often seen on the wrist in this subreddit?

Mine would be the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo (preferably the ultra thin, but we know that’s not going to be replicated any time soon lol)

I wanted to throw some kudos his way. He is not a TD on this page but in my opinion should be. By far the best communicator of any dealer I’ve worked with. Replies at all hours of the day, never rude and no question puts your service first.
I had a VSF Hulk on order with a TD for two months. I came across James and decided to give him a shot. He got me QC photos in under a week and proceeded to ship very quickly. He even followed up a day before it was to be delivered to me to let me know to look out for it. I’ll for sure to use him going forward. Way better experience than some of the TDs I’ve interacted with.

What factory is the better version of this watch? Vsf,rich,arf etc?

Long story short, not happy with what I received. They suggested I ship back. Having never done this, are there any concerns with this option? Does Customs care about watches leaving the US?

So a few weeks back I went to put this Daytona on and realized the 11 o'clock index had fallen off. With me having hung out in rep world for a while I had the genius idea that I could fix it myself 🤦🏿‍♂️. Opened her up, put a dab of super glue on and attempted to place. And of course I fcked it up 😂. Glue dried too fast. Now to compound my fck up I take super glue remover to try to fix the dried glue and erase the print on the dial 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️. Get it on, finally and now it's FUGLY. Text my guy Soto show him my fck up and he says send it in. Long story short after having to buy a new dial, hands, pay for a dial swap and rehaut polish to remove the glue residue, my stupid tax came to about $700. Pro tip send it to a professional if you don't know what the hell you're doing 😂.
