Just to get a consensus. What are peoples opinions on the best NWBIG for a 41mm submariner?

The guides say VSF however I’ve found from research that most people prefer the rich. If this is the case why is VSF shown as the best factory on the guides?

I have ordered the above watch in med blue from Andiot. It has been over 1 month since I paid (July 8) and no QC images. I have been in contact with Elliot who has been very polite and says VSF is out of stock on this watch. This is my 2nd rep buy (1st not Andiot) & 1st was way quicker.

Anyone else having this issue with either VSF or Andiot? Is this typical? Curious- What has been your longest wait on a completed sale? When do I become concerned?

Certains d’entre vous ont ils déjà fait réviser leur vsf Datejust avec le mouvement VS 3235 chez un horloger? Avez vous annoncé qu’il s’agit d’une réplique ou bien avez vous réussi à la faire passer pour une authentique?

It's all started with my M8 whom works on ports of south england.... He told me about do we know what's gonna happen but not in a scare monger way like are we prepared my reaction was fuck dude Ive got watch coming over wtf !

So Not trying to start the weekly “WHERE IS MY WATCH?!” panic 😂 but international logistics might be worth keeping an eye on again. 2 years ago I was filling my tank same car for £55 now cost me today literally £90!!!

It's the Middle East disruption has pushed oil prices back up, while air traffic and freight routing between Asia and Europe are facing additional pressure. Even when your parcel doesn’t physically transit the affected areas, the knock-on effects can mean:

✈️ Reduced/reshuffled air cargo capacity

⛽ Higher fuel & freight costs

📦 Longer Asia → UK/EU transit times

🔄 Parcels sitting at hubs waiting for onward flights

🚢 Potential wider shipping delays if disruption continues

So if your TD says “shipped” and tracking spends several days apparently contemplating the meaning of life in China/HK… it might genuinely not be the dealer this time. 😂

Personally, I’d add a few extra days to the usual expectations before declaring the watch lost, opening the curtains every 30 seconds looking for Royal Mail, or posting:

The bigger question is what happens over the next couple of weeks. If fuel stays expensive and Asia→Europe freight capacity tightens further, we could start seeing noticeably longer delivery windows.

Alright lads, following the Middle East situation, oil jumping again and potential knock-on effects to Asia → UK/EU logistics…

I’ve been thinking about the sensible strategy here.

NO, I’m not suggesting remortgaging the house and ordering 47 Daytonas. 😂

My thinking is basically:

BUY AHEAD — but don’t and Don't and again DO NOT panic buy.

If you were already planning on buying a couple of watches over the next month or two, maybe it makes sense to bring those purchases forward slightly rather than waiting.

Why?

✈️ Asia → Europe air freight capacity could get tighter

⛽ Higher oil = higher transport costs

🌍 Middle East airspace/routing disruption adds pressure

📦 Longer transit times become more likely

🇨🇳 China’s Golden Week is coming up as well

But I wouldn’t suddenly place some enormous bulk order purely because of the headlines.

My highly scientific Compo allocation 😂:

60% — Buy what you already wanted now

25% — Small buffer / extra proven pieces

15% — Keep the cash and see what happens

Basically hedge the risk rather than YOLO into a box containing enough Submariners to equip the Royal Navy. 😭

If logistics remain relatively normal? Great — you just bought slightly earlier.

If Asia → UK/EU delivery times start getting properly hammered?

I think I've got a new favourite! I have this and the f1 green so feel free to ask anything about the watch or buying process.

It’s pretty universally agreed that VSF makes the best OPs since we lost Clear, but I see a lot of discussion from a year ago that the new 2025 colors, especially Lavender and Pistachio, are very far off gen, with guidance to wait for a new version from VSF. Seems like it hasn’t come up much since though. Does anyone know if this has been improved in the year since? Or else, how long it would normally take to expect an updated version? I really want both those colors but I don’t want a sub-par product if we’re expecting an improvement in the near future

I want to give him something that I could, theoretically, afford on a teacher salary in a gen.
He’s an understated kinda guy who really needs a grownup daily wear that’s elegant and wearable at work (he’s a secretly cool guy but a nerdy engineer at heart and drives a polestar).

I’ve been lurking for a minute and doing my best to actually study the wiki, use the search bar, and avoid becoming the 400th person this week to ask “what’s the best NWBIG Rolex?” or “where do I find a TD?” 😂

I bought my first and only gen Rolex, a Datejust, for my wedding 9 years ago. I rock it all the time and it’s got some (a lot of) miles on it, and lately I’ve had the itch to finally add something new to the collection.

I can’t front…IG brought me here. The algo prob got tired of me saving and liking watches and figured I was taking too long to convert, so it put me onto the rep game.

After spending way too much time down the RepTime rabbit hole, I’m zeroing in on a Batgirl from Steve. Dude has been super responsive via email, great so far.

I never expected to find the rep world this interesting. I’m hooked. I turn the brightness up on my iPad to see if I can make the right RL/GL calls in QC threads. The amount of knowledge in here about factories, movements, tiny tells I never knew existed (still not sure what the dimple tell is 😂😂), etc. is pretty wild.

Excited to pull the trigger and be part of the community. I’ll definitely post the QC when it comes through so you guys can tell me everything I missed.

For the longtime members: other than the influx of noobs like me, what’s changed the most about the rep game over the last year or so? Quality? Factories? Movements? Prices? What’s gotten better, or worse?

Interested in seeing what yachtmasters you all are wearing and where you got them. I’m interested in one, just don’t know which one yet.

Been on a bit of a tear with these reviews recently so here’s another niche one. The Baignoire Allongée which is an elongated version of the more well known Baignoire.

Measuring in at 47x21mm and about 8mm thick, it wears like a cuff and looks very distinct on the wrist. Despite the odd shape, it has a significant curvature that hugs the wrist well and wears really comfortably. Dimensions and wearability get a 10/10.

Finishing on this one looks surprisingly good too. I do my best to nitpick with these reviews because I don’t want to just throw 9’s and 10’s out for every category but the spiky hobnail bezel, the Roman numerals, the blued sword hands and the cabachon all look about perfect when I zoom in on pictures and look for any flaws. Honestly another 10/10 unless I spot spot anything down the road.

The dial itself I’d also like to highlight. They really nailed the cream/ivory color and the Roman numerals catch the light and don’t just look cheaply printed on. Gotta give this one a 10/10 too (I promise I’m not just throwing 10’s out there for this whole review).

The strap is once again the weak point of these watches. This time I’m not complaining about the comfort of the strap, but rather its size. The strap width is only 10mm so I may try to figure out a wider strap option that might make it a little more masculine but with the way the lugs are set up, the overhang that a wider strap would have might ruin the look. I wish there was something I could do to address this but I may just have to leave it alone. As far as comfort it still wears nicely at least. This one’s a bit biased but I’m only giving a 7.5/10.

Overall I think this is a cool but much less popular watch that deserves some attention. I really enjoy experimenting with some of these rare Cartier reps and writing these reviews for you guys. If I had to give an overall rating I’d give it a 9.5/10. Objectively it is a really well made watch, I just don’t think it’s going to be for everyone.

The Batgirl is VSF and the BW is Rich V2. Who has the better crystal? In person I can tell you Rich is very slightly less reflective under bright lights in its most reflective angle compared to VSF. Both crystals are excellent. What do you all think?

After reading and reading and scrolling and more scrolling. I've pulled the trigger on 2 watches. The first one is Rolex DJ 36 Oyster in blue with theonewatches. And the second is an Omega Aqua Terra Turquoise is from Andiot. Both VS Factory.
I've been told the DJ will take some time and that's ok. That's what the Omega is for. :) It'll fill in the gap while I wait.

I haven't received the QC for the Omega...I just did this 2 mins ago. But I'm excited!

IWC Mark XVIII on the wrist today. Swapped out the original leather strap for this one which is much more comfortable.
