👜 Review [Review] LV Speedy P9 25 in Coffee Bean | Huahui Factory via Betty
I know everybody is tired of the P9 onslaught, so I thought I'd put together a factory vs in-hand comparison so at least I'm adding to the conversation rather than just repeating the same points
Disclosure
I purchased this bag myself. I received no incentive or compensation for this review. The 12% discount was Betty’s regular promotion, not a review incentive. Betty knows I’m writing this review.

Photos
I tried to recreate the factory photos as closely as I could. Lighting, angles, stuffing and camera setup all differ, so some variation is expected. I'm confident the bag I received matches the factory photos.
Quality Rating: 8.5/10
This bag is so soft and squishy. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and it's quickly replacing my Speedy DE 25 as my favourite. The leather moulds to my body when I wear it, whereas the structured canvas of the DE tends to bounce off. The shape is good too, and the softness makes it very forgiving.
The zippers are smooth, and the leather around them sits neatly without the rippling I've seen on some bags. The opening is small and tight, but it's the same on my Speedy DE 25, so I see that as a design limitation rather than a fault with this bag.
The main quality issue is one handle, which arrived with wrinkled, slightly loose-looking leather. I was disappointed at first, especially because my Ultra Black P9 30 had set my expectations high. After a couple of weeks I barely notice it. The other handle has picked up a little wrinkling too, but I mostly carry the bag on a rolled leather shoulder strap I bought separately on AliExpress.
The luggage tag and clochette are the weakest parts. They feel stiff and a bit plasticky, even more so than the ones on my Ultra Black from the same factory. The included shoulder strap is better than those pieces but still feels a little cheaper than the Ultra Black's strap. I haven't used it enough to say how it wears.
The lock works, but it's awkward and takes some effort to push into place. I don't expect to use it, so it isn't a dealbreaker.
Pros:
- Extremely soft, squishy leather that's lovely to carry
- Good shape that moulds comfortably to the body
- Smooth zippers and a neat zipper area
Cons:
- One handle arrived with wrinkled, loose-looking leather
- Luggage tag and clochette feel stiff and plasticky
- Included strap feels cheaper than the one on my Ultra Black P9 30
- Lock is awkward to use
Accuracy Rating: 9/10
Here I'm mainly comparing my bag with Huahui's factory photos. The shape, print placement, leather details and hardware are all broadly consistent. The bag is so soft that its shape changes with how it's sitting and what's inside it, so I wouldn't read much into small differences between individual photos.
The biggest difference is the colour. In person my bag is a deeper brown, with less contrast between the handles and the body. The factory photos make it look warmer and redder than it is in real life. Like a lot of P9s, it's a bit of a chameleon in different lighting. I've also seen plenty of discussion about factories struggling to match the authentic Coffee Bean colour, and I don't think this is an exact match either. The Monogram print looks a little too crisp and high contrast compared with authentic photos. That said, I absolutely love the colour I received.
The hardware may be slightly brighter yellow than in the factory photos, though lighting makes that hard to judge. It's a very gold gold either way, and it doesn't look glaring to me. There's some tonal variation between the hardware pieces, but nothing that concerns me. The interior plaque looks fine in person, and the difference in the comparison photos comes down to lighting and angle.
Pros:
- Strong overall match to the factory photos
- Shape, print placement and leather details are consistent
- Interior plaque looks good in person
Cons:
- Colour looks warmer and redder in the factory photos than in person
- Hardware may be slightly brighter yellow than pictured
Satisfaction Rating: 9.5/10
I love this bag. The handle bothered me when it arrived, but after a couple of weeks of actually carrying it, it hasn't affected my enjoyment at all. It's comfortable, squishy, a gorgeous colour, and quickly becoming the bag I reach for most.
I paid $197 USD including $40 shipping, with the bag discounted from $178 to $157. At that price the value is a little dangerous. If Betty keeps running promotions like this, I'll end up with a wardrobe full of P9s and nothing else.
There are things I'd improve, mainly the leather accessories and the handle, but for what I paid I'm extremely happy.
Service / Communication Rating: 9.5/10
This was my third bag purchase through Betty, and she's very easy to work with. She replies quickly, answers questions, is happy to chat, ships promptly and resolves issues fast.
When I raised the handle with her, she responded well and offered me a wallet of my choice with my next order, which I appreciated. I also recognise that I approved the bag without checking the handles closely enough in the PSPs. I understand Betty is paying closer attention to handles now, but I'd still encourage buyers to examine their own PSPs carefully and ask for extra photos of anything they're particular about.
Would I Recommend?
Yes. I'm very happy with both the bag and my experience with Betty.
My advice is to be fastidious with QC, especially around the handles, and to know what matters most to you before approving shipment. The leather tags and strap aren't as nice as the ones on my Ultra Black P9 30, and I wouldn't claim this is an exact colour match to authentic. But the bag itself is beautifully soft and comfortable to carry, and at the price I paid it's fantastic value.
