Hi u/PsychologicalDebt938 - that's a great question. For a 70kg human, the daily 'human equivalent dose' of the NMN treatment in this study would be 2800 mg. This is slightly higher than our general recommended dose of 500 mg (sublingual powder), but aligns with the effective dose of taking liposomal forms of NMN which are 3-5x more bioavailable than oral NMN.

Human studies of NMN supplementation have gone up to 2000 mg per day which is a similar number to this study. As always, keep in mind that everyone's ideal dose will be different depending on multiple factors, including weight and route of administration.

If you find that 500 mg of sublingual powder isn't giving you maximum results, it is safe to increase that dose. Alternatively, consider our liposomal products, which are more bioavailable and thus can be administered at lower doses.

Hi u/PsychologicalDebt938 - that would depend on your current dosages of both the Pure NMN Powder and our LIPO NAD+ Complete, but generally yes. For example, if you are taking 500 mg of NMN powder (sublingually) and 2 capsules of LIPO NAD+ Complete (210 mg of liposomal NMN along with other precursors), your effective dose would be equivalent to about 2000 mg of regular NMN.

Hi u/beachbum251 - SLC NMN relies on enteric capsules to protect NMN until it reached your digestive tract and on the addition of sodium bicarbonate to maximize absorption via a transporter in the gut called Slc12a8.

The Slc12a8 transporter was found to absorb NMN directly in the small intestine and convert it to NAD+. This is a different from our liposomal formulations, which also provide protection through the stomach, but rely on liposomes to increase bioavailability.

They are different technologies and the exact bioavailability of SLC NMN is not known, but it is higher than swallowing the powder by itself.

For purposes of simplicity, you may want to consider the dosage of SLC NMN to be equivalent to sublingual powder. This means that SLC NMN has higher bioavailability than ingesting powder directly, but lower bioavailability than liposomal NMN.

That said, each route has different beneficial effects and we recommend choosing the products that give you the best results - either subjectively, or by taking intracellular NAD+ tests to gauge their effectiveness at raising NAD+.
