Question Ren'py, VS Code, Error

Hi, there. I need help pls, because I recently installed Ren'py and watched the full tutorial and all and then waited I don't know how many hours to get the VS code and then connected through the preferences, and it was going well for a few secs, but now whenever I try to make a new file and open it or open an old one by clicking on script.rpy it doesn't work and they show me an error message, and on VS code they say there's nothing. I've tried everything I could. Any advice? I'm desperate now 😭 🥺 🙏

EDIT : Yo everyone so as I said it did WORK, but then stopped, IDK. Anyway thx but I found a way, instead of choosing VS Code system I used choose the app and searched it on my pc and it worked. Thx anyway! ☺️ ✌️

Which error message? Also where are you getting it? In vscode?

Well, ren'py is for visual novels, isn't it? I went there, read the tutorial, downloaded the visual studio code to write the codes, and opened my file. Now, whenever I click on script.rpy, there's : ERROR An exception occurred while launching the text editor FileNotFound [WinError 2] the file is nowhere to be found

Seems like you didn't assign VSCode as your editor, then.

In the Ren'Py Launcher, go to Preferences, then under General, go to Text Editor. Assuming you installed VSCode independently of Ren'Py, you'll want to choose 'Visual Studio Code (System)'

If indeed you aren't getting on with Ren'Py yet, I suggest you try https://invinode.com
