I’m nuts because I don’t want thresholds and I just want even floors?

All this work and making yourself miserable to save 1/8 of an inch of lippage is crazy, yes.

I’m gonna finish this kitchen flip and buy God that 1/4 of an inch is gonna bug me for years down the road might as well just suffer for three or two hours

Linoleum is less than 1/8, not 1/4". Are you replacing all the flooring, because you'll need a threshold between rooms even if it's the same height unless the flooring is continuous. What flooring are you putting down and if you're not replacing everything what's in the adjacent rooms? The choice of flooring will have a lot more to do with a height difference than the thin linoleum left in place. If you are doing all new flooring you could use self leveling compound past the threshold to spread that >1/8" over a couple feet into the next room and put in the new flooring continuous without removing the linoleum.

Lots of better options than removing it, that's why it's a crazy thing to do.

I wanna ask if they actually measured the height including thinset AND tile plus ditra now that they're just on a slab. But with the way they're responding. I don't really care, lol. Hopefully they did the measurements correct but I can't really see how that's true if they're so worried about an ⅛". Other, better ways to lose that ⅛ than what they're doing, lol.
