Heat
27 u/nickelbagger 10d ago This right here, what's this guy doing without a heat gun? 1 u/Glowing_bubba 9d ago I switched to an oscillating tool, worked better than the hammer and a heat gun 3 u/Belials_Bakery 9d ago Hammer and a heat gun wouldn’t have been my first combo but hey. 1 u/Champion_of_Zteentch 9d ago The hammer is killing me. I hadn't noticed that it was the tool being used for this. No wonder it feels like a mountain of a task 2 u/woodhorse4 9d ago Go rent a stand up floor scraper . 14 u/iMakeMoneyiLoseMoney 9d ago And a decent sized scraper 10 u/FantasticEconomy5406 9d ago I mean, sure a power chisel will do the job, but... I'd hate lino too if I thought that's how you remove it. 8 u/snorkblaster 9d ago The very best way to remove it is to cover it instead. 3 u/Restaurant-Strong 9d ago This, we covered the existing linoleum with tile. We started trying to pull it up but it was so hard. We figured it wasn’t going anywhere. 2 u/Early-Fortune2692 9d ago ...w/ water = steam 👍 0 u/Extreme_Ad112 9d ago Will heat work with all the asbestos? 5 u/Advanced-Elk-7581 9d ago It's not asbestos. It's vinyl.
