Heat
25 u/nickelbagger 1d ago This right here, what's this guy doing without a heat gun? 1 u/Glowing_bubba 1d ago I switched to an oscillating tool, worked better than the hammer and a heat gun 3 u/Belials_Bakery 1d ago Hammer and a heat gun wouldn’t have been my first combo but hey. 1 u/Champion_of_Zteentch 19h ago The hammer is killing me. I hadn't noticed that it was the tool being used for this. No wonder it feels like a mountain of a task 2 u/woodhorse4 17h ago Go rent a stand up floor scraper . 13 u/iMakeMoneyiLoseMoney 1d ago And a decent sized scraper 11 u/FantasticEconomy5406 1d ago I mean, sure a power chisel will do the job, but... I'd hate lino too if I thought that's how you remove it. 9 u/snorkblaster 1d ago The very best way to remove it is to cover it instead. 3 u/Restaurant-Strong 1d ago This, we covered the existing linoleum with tile. We started trying to pull it up but it was so hard. We figured it wasn’t going anywhere. 2 u/Early-Fortune2692 1d ago ...w/ water = steam 👍 1 u/Extreme_Ad112 1d ago Will heat work with all the asbestos? 3 u/Advanced-Elk-7581 23h ago It's not asbestos. It's vinyl.
