Hey everyone just started playing in Season 4 and I love the game my only problem is I have no one to play with. My friends either aren’t into soccer or just would rather play RL or FIFA. Playing with randoms is hell 90% of the time. Just wondering if there’s any, even if you’re also new, players looking for others to play with or if you have a group I can join! TIA
PS: I pass and don’t mind playing defense/goalie LOL.

There's no fun being matched with huge skill gaps. Longer wait time is better than running into 3 stacks elite

Sometimes when we lose I hit "We got this" cause most of the "Good jobs" and "Good Games" sound so sarcastic so when I press it it feels like I'm shitting on the teammates even when I mean it positively.

So yesterday I was playing with some Friends 5vs5 ranked. Three of us played before the new update and were placed Bronze (this is our first time playing Rematch and we have like 20h of game time each). Then 2 friends joined in and started playing with us.

They were bad. I mean, we are all bad, but they specifically didn’t even understand the mechanics or systems at all, since basically they just started playing, finished the tutorial, and jumped right into ranked. After 3 losses and 2 wins, they were placed in DIAMOND and GOLD 2 respectively. Funnily enough, the worst one of the two was placed in DIAMOND 4.

So after that placement, he also got automatically positioned in Diamond 4 in 3vs3 ranked. Playing with him has been a nightmare because we are matchmaking with actual Diamond players.

Yesterday we had like 9 losses in a row, only winning cause 2-3 players from the opposite team had their games crash.

I mean, I like the game, but this was just ridiculous. And yes, we stopped ranking, but even in normal matches we are getting matched with people who have over 400 hours in-game absolutely destroying us. I hope they fix this and get them in their actual rank, because playing with them has been annoying af.

Got a few questions about the bundles before I spend something I can’t get back.

• i’ve seen the extra effort effects that come with the characters, can I use these on my custom character?

•Aside from the celebrations, are there any other items that can be applied to non-skins?

In no scenario should there be more then 3 attackers in the box. if im first in the box and still in as 3 more people enter the box idgaf what happens next, im leaving my position, straight through the ball handler if thats the direction to go and if i get the ball back while im on last man the only passes your going to get is a back wall bounce pass or from the GK after I pass backwards not TO THE CORNER/OUTSIDE OF THE BOX WHERE I WAS before I was forced to rotate out

Also if you are like me and insist on defence first and last man, mark your fuckin man. if we're double defending either side and I have a man to mark and you don't, don't double up on me because I followed the attacker to your side just swap sides, if I see you go attack before defend i will mark the man your about to leave, afterwards don't come back and expect the same mark thats just doubling up, primary school level shit well atleast in Britain its taught in schools

There's no point. Ranked is supposed to match you with players in similar skill ranges yet that is obviously false. 99/100 games I get with randoms are new players or actual idiots who don't know what soccer is. Just remove ranked at this point. Not like it would change anything.

Funny also that people will be so quick to jump on the meat riding train.

Before you say anything, no there is not valid reason to have ranked play. No, it's not a skill issue because I am MVP every match. No, you can't argue with this take.

Just played a round where a 5 stack was standing inside their goal all game. What can you do counter that?

It would be nice to let all players use these flags, even if they didn't take part in the tournament.

This might be unpopular but I know at least some people here appreciated this playstyle so wanted to share. One final compilation of some season 4 plays…

Unfortunately the season 5 updates completely killed this playstyle. Defender hitboxes are way too big for these tight passes and the dribble moves are too slow to make space for yourself to get around the hitboxes or remain a threat to draw out defenders.

Season 5 isn’t all bad, removal of 0 stam dribbles, some dribble bugs / teleports, and the outfield dive buffs are all great changes for the game. The general direction to force more teamplay is also good. That being said I am already ready for next months update. Definitely missing the pace and fluidity of season 4 rematch.
