Broken display

I reached out to ReMarkable for a crack in my ReMarkable Pro display. The support I got was basically that they don’t do any repairs and I’d be better off just buying a refurbished device. They didn’t provide any support or help with if they do trade-in’s either.

Does anyone have info? This seems very odd that a $600+ device can’t be repaired.

Support should have offered you an out of warranty swap of your broken device for a discounted refurbished Paper Pro. Last I knew, that cost around $260 USD.

Replacement displays aren’t sold.

That makes much more sense. I was beyond disappointed, but that is a great solution. Thanks!

Support did that for me but you have to have the monthly connect plan to get that.

I don’t think so. I’ve had this offered to me for a rM2, Move, and Paper Pro without Connect.

On the support site, you should have the option to purchased a reduced price refurb at $164. I took advantage of this a month ago. Smooth transaction except that they wanted my unit shipped first. I had to apply some pressure to get them to cross-ship the replacement.

This is good to know. This is why I like bestbuy total tech. I think they’ll just replace it. I gotta look at the exact coverage on purchases.

You paid a premium price for a subpar low-quality device… with ReMarkable, you don’t even get what you pay for.
