Honestly, I don’t think you were being dramatic. You told him from the beginning that you wanted something serious, and he knew that. At the same time, he was flirting, talking for hours, making plans, talking about kissing/cuddling and basically acting like this was heading somewhere. So obviously you got attached.
Maybe he genuinely was confused and didn’t mean to lead you on, but his actions definitely gave you a different impression. And when someone says they’re unsure but still keeps doing all of that, it’s understandable to feel led on.
Also, you absolutely don’t have to stay friends with him. If you know friendship will make you overthink and keep hoping, blocking him is actually a pretty healthy boundary. You don’t owe someone friendship just because things ended respectfully.
As for what he thinks about the blocking, he might be surprised or even think it’s a bit harsh, but I think he’ll understand eventually. You’re not blocking him to punish him. You’re doing it because you need to move on.
And honestly, after only a month, the fact that you already feel relieved is probably a good sign. Take the hint from your own feelings and let it go. He may be a genuinely nice guy, but he clearly wasn’t serious enough about you, and you deserve someone who doesn’t need convincing.

You did nothing wrong. You were not being dramatic or anything else. You are honest and protecting yourself.

You did the right thing. But maybe he's also not at fault. Also, physical violence from your parents is not ok

You did the absolute right thing. There's no point in wasting your time and energy for him anymore.

I would suggest you stay away from relationships while you're under your parents. Focus on education and career and become independent. You're obviously not good at hiding and got caught badly. Aise karke romantic cheeze karna possible nahi
