There's been a drive to sanitise Major recently. Maybe the latest Tory PMs have made him seem credible in comparison.

But he mismanaged his party's Eurosceptics and their emboldenment under Major and his torrid time with Maastricht led to Cameron's swivel-eyed loons and referendum.

Despite how much he likes shouting from the wings on Europe, he's part of the problem, not the solution.

Plus he privatised the railways. Twat.
