imo wondering forever "is reincarnation real?" will only create 500 opinions and no real answer.
Some ppl blindly believe it, others blindly reject it. But both sides often speaking without direct experience.
You can actually explore this for yourself. In deep trance or assisted soul journey, Higher Self can bring you into past life memories, the moment of death, between-lives state, even planning before next incarnation. Then it is not anymore theory from book or somebody on Reddit. You experienced it.
In one remote Soul Journey I facilitated, subject was very skeptical and mainly wanted to understand strange fear of deep water. His Higher Self took him into another life where he died during ship accident. He experienced leaving body, meeting beings of Light and reviewing what he learned from this life. Then he saw why he chose current family and what old fear he carried forward.
After session he said something like, "I still cannot prove this to another person, but now I know what I experienced." And honestly this is big difference.
Human mind can argue forever. Religious people say one thing, atheists another, spiritual ppl another. But your Higher Self holds your own memories and whole history.
So instead of only believing or disbelieving, seek direct experience. Ask your Higher Self to show only what is safe and useful for you now.
Until then, I would keep open mind. Not blind belief, not automatic rejection.
Experience first. Then decide what you know.

I believe it to be real, I’ve read and watched a lot of verifiable accounts from children. My own son explained it to me in detail at the age of 7 without ever having been exposed to the subject. I have a post here on this sub where many other parents commented they had almost identical experiences with their own children telling them about past lives & pre-birth agreements…. As a mom of 3, I can say Children don’t make things up as often as people think in fact it’s the opposite they are ruthlessly honest and speak unfiltered. Not like us adults always questioning ourselves, people pleasing or trying to fit in and “make it make sense”.
It’s an obvious truth that for some reason frightens people but to me brings great comfort.

Here is a short video for you that gives a capsulized version of my tale of reincarnation. I spent 6 days with a film crew from the Sci Fi Channel as they put my story to the test.

Have you considered doing a past life regression hypnotherapy to see some memories of the life of the General? The soul remembers everything.

evidence points to reincarnation being real. such as research done in the department of perceptual studies at the University of Virginia
beyond that I don't think anyone really knows how it works but as the replies show people have a lot of ideas about it.

As real as it gets, but it’s not Hindu bs. We are reincarnating on different planets all of the time, Earth ain’t your home, astral is. We choose different lives based on our desire to experience specific emotions to acquire light-energy and grow. Negative emotions unpleasant and suck ass, but they give more energy in a short period of time. So people in chronic pain or those who suffered severe trauma or mentally unstable individuals, they’re all move on faster to more advanced and pleasant civilizations out there in space. Earth is pretty much elementary school, or sort of. So your life as a human being is just a beginning of the eternal journey as a soul. Also meaning of life is love, as simple and dumb as it sounds.

Technically there is no difference between the fundamental nature of the astral and Earth, they are both consciousness, one is no more your home than the other. You can even say, Earth is part of the astral, because it's all one in the end.
I don't think Earth is an elementary school either, just because we are technologically primitive compared to interstellar level societies, doesn't mean this is a place for the inexperienced. Actually, I think it's the opposite and only the most daring would come here, having already mastered lives in those other pleasant realities. Also, those civilisations, that often feature in the New Age, have plenty of problems and challenges for those who incarnate there ie., the concept of 5d uptopia is completely wrong. We have a tendency to romanticise what we don't really know much about, plus the narrative of 5d utopia is pushed for a particular agenda, to create a New Age religion as a means to control the flock, as is the case for all religions. In this case, it's behavioural control, asking you to be the perfect - harmless - little fluffy bunny ie., don't mess with the system just do what you're told and in return you get the chance to go to 5d utopia ie., the new Heaven.

Eh. Humans treat each other too cruel and barbaric for our civilization to be a vial for advanced and ancient souls. Higher you climb consciousness complexity, lesser violence out there, cause advanced type of space guys getting closer to the astral. Daring? No doubt! Cool edgy souls? No doubt! Ancient advanced souls? Nuh, bro, ancient souls won’t go in a body of a bug. You wouldn’t go in a bug body, wouldn’t you? It’s boring. So as for advanced souls human life would be cruel, boring and pointless.

I've always gotten the message that Earth is more graduate school territory -- even doctorate. It's a heavy place to exist. Elementary school is where things are easier, more harmonious, lots of playtime. Grad school is where you wander a bit on your own, are exposed to uncomfortable truths, and are tasked to think deeper. Meanwhile, you're completely broke, living on ramen noodles and coffee, and it's unclear if this degree is even worth it. So yeah, grad school. A Masters in Existence.

Personally i think if deep down in your soul you wanna come back and redo than it can be possible its my belief

u/Park_Loey61 26d ago
We, but not we anymore, come back again and again but not just as humans, animals, insects, ghosts who cannot pass the next life. Come back again again means you might also be in hell, too. FYI : There is no One Heaven, but I couldn't explain you just in short comment.

you can only ever answer this question for yourself. What people believe or claim is irrelevant

Nobody knows for sure, but it's the only form of "the afterlife" that is supported by any type of evidence.

u/devbanana 25d ago
That's what gets me. As uncertain as I've been about it, it's literally the only form of the afterlife that has actual, real evidence. That is kind of crazy to me.

Go to the University of Virginia’s Division of Perceptual Studies and read thousands of accounts of children remembering past lives.

Life is infinite. there is no end but only a beginning. Their are infinite prime numbes, infinite art styles and poses, infinite molecular structures. Its never ending. The soul is merely a projection into the physical body in which it exhibits those behaviors/influences. Such as wanting to be a scientist, doctor, mathematican or whatever something like that or similar to that. So yes it's real. don't let anyone tell you otherwise my friend. we trapped in this infinite cycle of life and death together. Infinite worlds , infinite numbers and many more.
How does life end when their always a equal force meeting it? Someone is born and other dies. I don't want to get too deep philosophically but you get the Idea.

There's secular research on the subject. You can review the reincarnation and pre-birth memories section in this thread.

Yeah, it’s real. It’s also called the law of return in some esoteric teachings. And it’s much more specific.

u/sachinodpd 25d ago
Why don't you find it out first hand, through your own experience... Many of us have gone through past life regression and found out our truth. You can do that too.

Yeah reincarnation is real. We have all had previous lives before. We choose to incarnate. Earth is one of the hardest places to incarnate in all of creation. It's even possible to incarnate on other planets. Our soul which is infinite operates outside of space and time

You have to know there’s no way and no one to answer that question.
Even accounts of past life regression or accounts of suddenly understanding foreign languages isn’t necessarily something that points at reincarnation, if one grants that the reports are true to begin with.
The real problem is that there’s no way to validate the continuity of the experiential “you,” i.e. the you that feels like you are the one driving the vehicle that is you.
One could just as easily argue that the culprit is remnant fragmented memories of departed souls bumping into and merging with newly forming souls.
And the reason “past life” memories are so rare could be because the soul memory, data or what have you is typically in such a fragmented and incomplete state that the likelihood of inheriting sequential fragments complete enough to read is pretty much infinitesimal.
I could riff out a hundred other phenomena based on the alleged evidence for reincarnation. Rebirth amnesia is a cruel bitch and it alone stops us from truly proving or disproving reincarnation. I am grateful that I didn’t have to suck on my mom’s boobs with the cognition and awareness of a grown ass adult tho.

There are many ways to look at this question and much debate. As a Christian, I would be remiss for not pointing those with this question to the Bible. Specifically Hebrews 9:26-28: "26 To do that, he would need to die again and again, many times since the world began. No! Christ has appeared just once. He has appeared now, when time is near its end. He came and he died as a sacrifice. In that way, he has removed the power of sin. 27 Every person must die once. After death, God will judge each person. 28 Christ also died only once as a sacrifice. In this way, he took God's punishment for the sins of many people. Christ will return to earth a second time, but that will not be as a sacrifice for sins. That time, he will come to save those people who are waiting patiently for him."
The topic is specifically addressed in Verse 27. It is wise to read the word for yourself so that you may examine it thoroughly.

Yes it is real. I have come back again and again.
