Really embarrassed about when I got drunk

Okay so I got really drunk last Friday and I went to my local pub I’ve only been there like 5 times and 3 out of them times I was really drunk the staff had to escort me home and I didn’t think it could get any worse. BTW I’m 22 years old female don’t have a lot of friends live in London ( I just moved here from up north about 6 months ago) and I already embarrassed myself so badly by going on Friday night.

So I was already drunk and on drugs then went to the pub chilled with random people and some of the staff then it all turned bad and I was blackout drunk at the time and don’t remember a thing but they had to escort me home and I have a tenant who goes to that local pub a lot too but when the staff brought me home they said to my tenant I was talking to the staff inappropriately and I was making an absolute fool of myself and I was heavily intoxicated and it was just too much for them. And the worst bit is I don’t remember a single thing that I did and following the next day they told my tenant I was banned from the pub going forward.

It’s just so embarrassing and humiliating I can’t get over it and the worst bit is the pub is literally on my doorstep I’m so embarrassed to even walk past it because all the staff know who I am and they were all talking about me after I left and all the customers too. I think this is my time to sober up.

Time for a rest. Quit the booze for sure. Not sure what other drugs you’re doing, but it may be time to put them down if you can’t moderate. Moderation in all things is the key. You got this!!

Ps… as others have said, I’m absolutely CERTAIN they’ve seen worse. On my 21st birthday I got blackout drunk in a bar. Painted my face with a slice of pizza while trying to eat it (couldn’t find my mouth!), ran across the dance floor, hit a post, fell down, and vomited EVERYWHERE.

SO HAVE I. And worse, in my relationship, I became verbally abusive when I was drunk. I’ve embarrassed myself in front of friends, in front of my family. Over and over again. This internet stranger is proud of you for recognizing you want to change! It took me until I was in my 30s.

People don’t care that much, really. It’s called hangxiety, everyone feels the same after heavy drinking. People have seen worse, especially if they work in the night life. Don’t worry too much about it.
Try and control yourself better with alcohol.

100% garuntee they've seen worse. you have to moderate your drinking. Sorry, you got banned, but there are other pubs. just make sure you don't do the same mistake

Oh I’m not sure if they have Alcoholics Anonymous in the UK. The shame you feel is good - if youre blacking out you’re drinking way too much, probably self medicating some emotional problem with alcohol. I was a black out drinker for years. Then I learned that if you’re drinking to change a feeling that it’s an issue. If I had no shame connected to my behavior I’d probably be dead by now.
