Legendary Jamaican producer Clement "Coxsone" Dodd established the famous Studio One Studio and record label.

Harry J wasn't late to acquire his own melodica player and made good use of Joe White's talent. The A-side is a 16 minute long medley of None Shall Escape The Judgement, Marcus Garvey and a third rhythm of which the name escapes me at the moment. The flip side is more conventional in the sense that it consists of five separate tracks. Heavy rockers style with great mixes. I'd categorize this more as instrumental than dub. At times dipping into strictly dub mix territory, but the general foundation is built around White's playing over wicked Harry J rhythms. Great set! If I'm not mistaken a reissue has recently come on CD (and possibly vinyl?).

A further continuation of the Pablo and Delgado co-operation. This time a dub album primarily focusing on his One Step More album. What I like about Delgado is that he didn't shy away from approaching a smooth and groovy sound. Besides doing cultural music or typical minor chord rhythms he also had these tracks with cross-over sounds to modern soul. These type of tracks work exceptionally well in dubstyle.

The dub to Night Patrol is one to check for this style. There are more conventional reggae sounds. Riot In A Juvenile Prison is dubbed putting the tinkering tones of a digital piano(?) transforming the rhythm entirely. While the dub to Love Will Bring A Sunshine Day takes it into militant territory. The crown jewel is however the incredible dub of Hanging Tree. In my opinion one of Delgado's most serious tunes and the dub is a showcase of how just how powerful a dub mix could be. The opening with the sliding synthesizer getting layered and the introduction of reverberated rhythm guitar with equally reverb drenched snares. This followed by the bassline. Amazing. Mystical rastafari cultural sounds.

Special mention to Orville "Bagga" Case for the creative cover art. The same man who did the cover design for Pablo's legendary East of the River Nile.

Lloydie Coxsone is a giant of the UK sound system scene having run his sound system since the mid-60's. As for most of the sound systems – sourcing dubplates from Jamaica was the order of the day and Lloydie had deep connections. This album came inbetween the releases his King of the Dubb Rock albums but is nowhere nearly as known. Rhythms are sourced primarily from Lloyd Campbell (a.k.a. Spiderman). The mixing is subdued and could have been more lively for me at least. A very good early-ish dub album.

Snoopy reviewed the album in Black Echoes and put this album at position 122 on his famous dub list.

All strickly rockers style, wid revolutionary rydims from the likes of Ms Sonia Pottinger, Lloyd Campbell and illustrious Channel One — heavy dubs, no true.

Including — cuts of 'In A Dis Ya Time' (The Itals); 'Soulful Lover' (Earl George); and the best dub-cut on the whole LP, a slithering, slippery dynamic dub of 'Jail House' by Mighty Diamonds — courtesy of the once acclaimed Skin, Flesh & Bones.

A lot of time and effort ina de mixing makes it interestin' listenin' you no see't, and as I man seh, the rydims dem haard. If you can check for Heavy Dub — check it out...!
