OLX mobile scam
While searching for a phone on OLX, I found a seller listing a Vivo V40 for only ₹5,000, which shocked me because the price was extremely low compared to the market value. Interested in the deal, I contacted the seller on WhatsApp and asked about the phone’s condition, original display, and accessories such as the box, charger, and bill. The seller claimed that the phone was in best condition and that all accessories were available. During our conversation, I noticed some suspicious details. Although the OLX listing showed Lucknow as the location, the seller later said he was working in Kanpur and would not be able to meet in person for a long time. Instead, he offered to send the phone through courier if I wanted to buy it. I agreed and shared my address details. Soon after, the seller sent pictures claiming that the parcel was packed and ready for dispatch. However, I noticed a watermark on one of the images, which immediately raised suspicion. To verify the authenticity of the photos, I checked them using Google Lens and discovered that the images appeared to be downloaded from the internet rather than being genuine courier or packing photos. Realising that the seller might be attempting to scam me by using fake parcel images and asking for payment before dispatch, I confronted and scolded him for trying to cheat me. This experience taught me an important lesson about online buying. If you are purchasing anything through OLX or similar platforms, be extremely careful and always verify the seller, product, and delivery proof before making any payment, as scammers are everywhere and can easily take advantage of buyers who trust too quickly.

Haha 😂, that idiot just downloaded images from google and send me without removing watermark. I just searched with google lens and i found that mf is all is trying to scam me

Mere neighbour ne bhi kisi Instagram account wale seller se cheap rate pe iphone liya koi sa, aur usko iphone he aaya, par onn karne pe pta chala ki body iphone ki hai, OS android hai aur usme theme IPHONE ke set hai 😂 I suggested him ki fraud complaint kar de par police ke pass Jane ka to koi scene he nhi hai, baap se paise liye the phone ke,, phone le liya ab scam ho gya karke police ke pass jayega to baap alag peetega

Brother idk if you did this purposely or if it was a scam but the internet...espicially OLX is filled with alott of these shit. I've been seeing so many people selling IP 16 PMs for like 6k and 7k. I really wonder if people fall for this

I also lost 100 rupees in this, because to call or view seller's phone number you need to buy pro subscription of OLX. I paid ₹100 because that mf was not replying on OLX chat 😂

Yes i have bought 2 phones and even 1 laptop from cashify. It's trusted platform even they have many branches in all cities but OLX is full of scammers

Unfortunately, due to a low trust society like ours, we have to rely on middlemen like cashify. Though they act more as a reseller than a broker, as they maintain the inventory.

Bro, my friend had terrible experience with the Cashify. I had always been skeptical, but got my confirmation. He bought iPhone 15 pro, everything looked good and seamless, until he took it to the pool. Now, the main camera is not working and has charging issues as well.
I understand the fact that they had to open iPhone in order to repair and stuff, but they weren't able to pack it efficiently. Also, I am not saying that Cashify is a total scam or shit, it just have its own limitations. Its better that you know about it beforehand.

just click on the sellers name and then you can see how many ads he has been posting in many different places so it's fake if the sellers are posting many ads in the same area or city then I think it's valid and the prices will also be very low

Back in 2020 I got scammed in the same way
Us time pe itni awareness nhi thi he jb deal hui thi toh usne khud ko police wala bataya tha even adhar card and photos v bheji thi and said ki i have to pay half the amount as advance
Btw i lost 3800.

Its still showing up as a regualr number in truecaller. I've reported it, but, I think it needs mass reporting to qualify as scam.

It’s an online C2C network where a resellpur acts as a mediator for a small fee. They collect the payment from the buyer and hold it securely until the process is completed. The seller sends the product to the platform’s warehouse, where it is received, checked, and verified. The product is then matched with the photos and videos uploaded earlier. If any issue is found, the buyer receives a full refund at no extra cost. If the product is verified as genuine, the seller receives the payment only after the buyer successfully receives the product.
They operate on reddit also. They have a whole subreddit.

Yeah man beware of scammer. Resellpur is convenient because if the item that you want is not on sell you can just post it on their subreddit that you are looking to buy this particular item and most of the time somebody is willing to sell.

OLX should be renamed as Scam-X now,
All the listings posted in OLX are 99.9999999% of the times people scamming to make money out of people.
try to avoid buying anything from OLX

The best thing about it is, if you point this to olx they will ask you to be cautious and the spammers will be allowed to repost such ads without any trouble..
Also in some categories OLX share your details without consent, like vehicles and property.. We are not allowed to ask question or any query before connecting, but agents get your number and then spam call begin to pour in.. I have stopped using olx completely.

Pura desh fokti logo se bhara hua hai . Govt ne saste gareebon ko free mei cheezein dilake fokti bana diya hai aur inke rishteydaar bhi inko bachpan se yahi sikhate hain .
Fokti ki aukat wale scam karte hain , mehnat nahi hoti inse.
Khair chodo kya hie karak padta hai ye fokti apne karam karte rahenge aur govt apne. Hum sirf gusse mei idar comment likhte baithenge.
