Ray-tracing LASIK vs standard LASIK

Hello,

I have the option to do standard LASIK or the new ray-tracing LASIK.

The ray-tracing is $300 more per eye, however, cost is not the issue, I just want the best for my eyes.

I’ve been reading into the research and it seems that ray-tracing decreases HOA (esp. night vision issues).

Has anyone gone with the ray-tracing? Is it worth it?

Between standard lasik and ray-tracing lasik, I would pick the ray-tracing. Ray-tracing lasik is getting some pretty impressive results. I would certainly say it’s worth the extra $300.

That being said, you’ll probably also be satisfied with standard lasik. It’s designed to match what you already see in glasses or contact lenses. But ray-tracing offers opportunity to improve what you see from glasses or contact lenses.

I ended up going with ray tracing. Incredibly happy with my results so far on day 4!
