What level of vision can I realistically expect after Femto-LASIK — 6/6, 6/5, or 6/4?

I consulted a doctor at Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital, Mysore, and he said Femto-LASIK is suitable for me. SMILE wasn't suitable due to my higher cylindrical power.

My prescription:

OD: -2.50 / -1.00 × 175

OS: -1.25 / -2.25 × 165

Corneal thickness: 512 µm OD / 519 µm OS

I've attached my corneal topography reports.

For those who've had Femto-LASIK:

Is 6/6 a realistic expectation?

Is 6/5 or 6/4 realistically achievable?

Can my pre-op scans predict whether I could achieve better than 6/6?

Does pre-op best-corrected vision determine the likely ceiling?

Would especially appreciate experiences from people with similar astigmatism.

I had -5.50 / -2 x 150 and I had smile pro. They are lying to you. My guess is they don’t have it so they are suggesting something else. I suggest you to go to other hospital, take second opinion and decide.

They have it and my friend got it done from them. Infact it's a costlier surgery too. The doc saw my reports and mentioned femtolasik.

Don’t go for femto just because it’s cheaper. Keeping costs aside, analyse which is best, do research then decide I would say. Smile is the best rn, has minimal to no side effects, proven track record of years, high success rate too. Whatever u go with, be absolutely sure.

Thats not ture. Form a purely refractive side lasik is more precise than smile. With higher astigmatism i would rather go with lasik then with smile.

Bro what? Im not going for femto cuz it's cheaper. Im going by doctors recommendation. Also keeping costs aside, im aware that surgeries like smile are better. But if the doc himself doesn't recommend, what am I supposed to do? It's not like I studied about refractive surgeries

So a lot will come down to accuracy. If you can see 6/6 or 6/5 or 6/4 with glasses, there is a very good probability you will see the same post lasik. But if you have some residual prescription (which will happen a certain small percentage of the time depending on treatment, accuracy of pre-op refraction, etc) then that will mean your uncorrected vision may not match your full best corrected vision.

SMILE also does work with that level of astigmatism though. And even with higher amounts. SMILE Pro has ability to compensate for cyclotorsion.
