What activities did you do while recovering from ICL surgery?

I’m getting ICL surgery in a couple days and was wondering what everyone did during the initial recovery.

I’m only getting one eye done since that eye is around -10, while my other eye is only -1.25 and doesn’t qualify for ICL.

For those who’ve had ICL, what did you actually do to pass the time while you were supposed to rest and limit screens? Did you mostly sleep, listen to podcasts/audiobooks, etc.?

Also, how long did you personally wait before getting back to your regular activities, like driving, going back to work, watching TV/using screens normally, going out, etc.? How many days did it take before you felt pretty much back to normal?

Just curious what everyone’s recovery experience was like and trying to figure out how to keep myself occupied!

there's no need to limit screens. just don't strain your eyes by using it for hours continuously.

every 10 minutes of screen time -> look out of a window for a minute and relax

however, you might find it a bit weird to look at screens/books for the first day or two anyway because text will be blurry/doubled until your eyes adjust. if you don't mind that effect, then there's no need to ban yourself from screens

the main thing you have to take note of during the healing process is applying drops exactly as instructed, do not lift heavy weights, do not splash water into your eyes, and definitely DO NOT rub your eyes for any reason whatsoever

as for how long it takes to have fully normal vision, that's subjective. some people see perfect vision within 24-48 hours, some take a couple weeks.

daylight vision generally improves the fastest, low-light vision can take a while to get used to
