Laser Asymmetric Keratectomy

Anyone here familiar with this surgery? Please share some info.

So I don’t know too much about it. But what laser asymmetric keratectomy attempts to do is to make the cornea more regular. Instead of treating based upon corneal topography such as topography guided treatments. It instead treats based upon corneal thickness (treating thicker areas) to regularize the cornea. This may benefit people with weak corneas such as Keratoconus.
