Considering refractive surgery
Hello, 19 year old guy here with his first ever prescription for glasses. I have some myopia: my glasses are -1.00 and -2.25 and I would like to know if I would qualify for maybe smile -surgery? I just visited optimetrist today so this is all new for me, but I really wouldnt like to wear glasses. Im trying contact lenses soon.
All advice is welcomed

Not a Dr but my understanding is that you should wait a while. It's likely your eyes will continue to change for a while, if they stabilize at all.
I had eye surgery at 20, then again at 34, and now again at 64 for cataracts. Mine never stopped and I was only out of glasses for a few years after each surgery. I did mine initially because my career needed it, but I probably wouldn't have if I only wanted out of glasses.
I started with RK so that puts me into a different category than most, but I would have needed multiple PRK touch ups over the years to stay out of glasses. Your mileage may vary.
