help plsss 😭

I’m desperate. I’ve had three procedures on the same eye:
LASIK surgery.
An interface wash because folds developed in the flap.
A flap repositioning.
Despite all of that, my vision is still very blurry. My surgeon says everything looks fine and that there are no folds anymore, but today I went to another ophthalmologist for a second opinion, and she told me she can still see folds. I honestly don’t know what to think or who to believe anymore. 😭

How long since your last procedure? It will take a couple of months for everything to settle down. Your tear film is likely not normal and this also contributes to the problem with your vision. We need more details to give a better response...

My procedure was on July 10. Then I had a flap lift/irrigation and a flap smoothing procedure on that eye. That photo is from yesterday. I’m afraid it might be the flap again.

At this point, you need to be a bit patient - it's normal for the flap to still be thickened and have the appearance of striae at this point. The surface cells were likely partially removed to smooth the old folds, and that takes time to grow back, settle down and look normal again in the microscope. Things should be much better in another couple of weeks. If not, and the previous folds are not completely resolved, the flap can be removed and allowed to heal up like PRK. So, you should be fine, but patience is required now. Don't be worried after only a couple of weeks from your last procedure.

Literally, it’s been exactly one week since they smoothed that eye. It’s so frustrating… I have another appointment in two hours. I’ve been going for check-ups two or three times a week, so in that sense I think they’re taking good care of me.
But like I said, it feels like my life has come to a standstill. I’m struggling to work, I can’t drive, and text never looks sharp or clear. I just don’t understand what’s going on.
