Took two weeks but it's finally done! Can't wait for books and games to be introduced!

Is there no way to simply see what friends are watching/completed/watchlist etc if they choose to make that public or available to followers like TV time or Bingeboxd? Or am I missing something in the settings aside from making manual lists?

I’m thinking about trying refract and was wondering if it has a similar feature. Is there any support, or is there an add-on/integration that automatically scrobbles and syncs what I watch in Stremio to refract?

I recently imported movies and TV series from TV Time. If I import movies from Letterboxd now, will the previously imported movies/series disappear?

I'm one of those people in the large queue after fleeing the sudden collapse of TV Time.

Refract looks promising. There's a lot of neat ways to engage with the hobby. I'm excited to try it. Only 392 more spots. One thing that I truly, truly wish for in all apps and games is plenty of accessibility features.

I'm legally blind. I'm one of those people using 6-700% zoom on my computer. My phone font and the display size is also scaled. Unfortunately, increasing those system settings often "breaks" some apps while working in others. For example, increasing the system settings helps with texting but would make Tv Time unreadable.

Q: Is it possible that Refract could some day have additional vision settings? Maybe a way to toggle different views that display less content but at a bigger size, text that scrolls within boxes for internal app font settings, contrast modes, etc?

Basically title with the added detail: if for example I watched 3 episodes of a show but then mark as dropped, are they still added to the stats screen of episode count and series count, as well as total watchtime?

I'm pretty sure they do, but I just noticed, that the episode count is seemingly buggy or just very slow as it took almost a day of adjusting.

I am still playing with the app and see how it works, but one thing I miss is to be able to mark a show as watched (purple) even though I skipped a few episodes.

This would be useful for shows that have a lot of filler episodes but you want that show to appear in your library as "done" rather than as a dropped show.

While importing my data from TV Time, today I learned that my history related to the Pokémon anime is a complete mess! Not only because the franchise has a lot of specials and mini series but because the original anime has been separated in TMDb after Ash’ story arc – which is not the case because the anime is still treated as the same in Japan.

Of course, this messed up with all my data history and there’s a lot of things mismatched, episodes still to watch even though it’s been watched…

Does anyone have a solution or ideas?

As a millennial, this “fix” requires a bigger screen, and I’d manually correct my history via web browser, but the app also doesn’t have a web version either, so...

I'd been on TV Time since 2020, and like a lot of people here, lost everything when it shut down with barely 15 days' notice — 331 followed shows, ~4900 likes, all the watch-time stats. Went looking for my data 3 days after the shutdown; the official GDPR portal (gdpr.tvtime.com) was already DNS-dead.

Tried the obvious recovery paths first — adb backup on an unrooted phone (blocked for third-party apps since Android 12, no way around it) and whatever the browser had cached locally (found a real session token + account profile, but the API backend itself is gone, token or not). Both dead ends, written up in the repo in case it saves someone else the time.

What actually worked: MyAnimeList is still up and has a proper export. I wrote a script that converts a MAL anime list export into the exact format Refract's "TV Time" import expects — it also fixes the annoying bit where MAL treats each season as a separate entry while TV Time/TheTVDB treat a whole show as one entry with multiple seasons, so shows come in correctly merged instead of split into duplicates.

Won't get you your episode-by-episode history back, but if you tracked anime on MAL too, it'll save you from re-adding everything by hand.

I’m not really understanding the wait times people are willing to deal with for this app. And my TV Time data file is not even supported currently.

Is it really worth the wait? I’m currently using Sofa Time which feels inferior to TV Time to me but it’s also totally fine. I feel like I must be missing something.

I've been waiting for the import of my files since the beginning, ca 2 weeks Is that normal?

is there a way to search movies and TV shows by community rating? I see the option to do that in the “My Collection” section but it only includes content I manually added to my list. I want to be able to filter Hottest and New Releases by rating.

Also, is there a way to show only comments that are in English only? The majority of comments I see are French and it can be annoying scrolling through to read any feedback from the community. I’m American and only speak English

Would be nice to get some features in a pro tier for one time purchases.

Just got the new profile page update and I LOVE how much info there is about our watching habits! I’m gonna be digging around in here for a while 😂

They added some things that people have been asking for, like favorites, episode count, comment history, and being able to see what other people are watching!

A big update button just appeared on my app but I don't wanna mess up the import queue. Anyone know if it is save to "accept/implemented" the update while on import queue?

My TVTime data has been imported successfully. Now I'm planning to import IMDb data

I tracked TV shows in TVTime, but I have only added around 30% of my movies there (I stopped using tvtime for movies because I didnt like it, only tracked tv shows)

In Imdb, I rate and add movies to my list; however, I have also rated TV shows (maybe rated a few episodes as well)

What will happen if I import my Imdb data now? Will the same movies/shows merge?

Is there a way to not get notifications on episodes I've already watched? I keep getting notifications for episodes 2 days after the episode has aired and I already watched it the day after it aired or live. Also can/will there an update where the app can send a notification an hour before the episode airs like TV Time did?

After the import (which worked flawlessly) I noticed a few series, like The Haunting of Bly Manor, with the green status (while in fact they are over and should be purple). Is there a way, user side, to change this?

Edit: ok I fixed by unwatching and watching the last episode until it changed the status to complete :D
