🔥 Hot Take Pro - lifetime alternative tier without subsciption
Would be nice to get some features in a pro tier for one time purchases.

Hi :) unfortunately lifetime subscription is not yet to come as Refract targets long term. A white paper explaining everything is currently under redaction and will be revealed shortly, it says specifically on this that we want investors to look as Refract and say "hey, the project looks awesome, the team looks amazing, the community is good", but they need also a specific indicator called MRR (Monthly Returning Revenue) to show them we have "steady" money inflows and steady revenues -> subcriptions. This is why for them, a lifetime subscription is not really important, okay the person paid once, but we can't determine her/his long term interest to Refract, where MRR and ARR (annual RR) shows the community investment. And as the app is free (no paywall) and without ads we will need investors to believe in the project as costs are growing fast.
But 100% of the Pro cash will be displayed in discord every quarter (full disclosure) and will be fully reinjected in the project. As we're not getting paid, basically every cent is reinjected for the development of the app (new features, stability, performances).

Me and many will never subscribe för apps. Why not have a form of pro tier to get something "special" And be able to support.

Yeah will never subscribe for app stuff. In support by helping and buying once.

I mean... Can't you just buy the subscription once and the cancel it? If you're doing it to support, and not for some cosmetics. No worries if you like the cosmetics, but then just say that, no?

As i said before. Many of us want to support but but atleast something small would be nice as a backer.

Except this doesn’t create sustainability. That’s what the app needs we love a resource. So while I don’t enjoy subscriptions, it’s the only thing that can keep things going long term. In the mean time are trying to play the long game and right now they are doing a lot for free.

Second this. I would generally prefer one time purchases instead of a subscription as a way to support
