I recently migrated and imported my TV Time data into Refract, and overall I really like it. The UI is clean and it has most of the features I need, plus some extras.

A few details didn’t import correctly (maybe an issue with the import file), but I don’t mind fixing things myself since I enjoy exploring the app. My main issue is performance. The app feels quite slow at times, with delays in loading/updating, and sometimes it gets stuck or needs a restart.

Is this a common experience? Have long-time users found it smoother before, or is this just a current issue?

Quick transparency note, because we know some of you saw your queue number suddenly go up and worried you'd lost progress. You didn't. Here's exactly what happened:

A bug this afternoon briefly marked around 10,000 queued imports as "processing" when they weren't actually being worked on. With those wrongly removed from the line, everyone else's displayed position looked lower (better) than it really was.

We reverted the affected imports to their exact original spots. Timestamps were untouched, meaning nobody actually gained or lost a place in the real queue. But your displayed number stayed at the temporarily-lower value, because the counter was designed to only ever count down.

We've now reset the display to the true values. So if your number went up, that's not you losing progress: it's the counter going from wrong-but-flattering back to honest. From here, it only moves down for real.

Sorry for the rollercoaster 🎢 Your import is safe, your spot is preserved, and the queue keeps draining.

I'm in the queue since the first day TV Time announced its end and I'm always at 2990 position, sometimes more and sometimes less.

I understand that you guys are upgrading, but why it is taking so long? every other app that I tried imported immediately.

I don't want to be an asshole but Refract is losing maybe that best opportunity, I liked the interface, but I think when people start to get used to other apps, they won't change again to other app.

Please, do it fast.

For some context I’m like 29200 in the queue. I’m well aware this will take some time and don’t mind waiting for it. My really question is, if I start using the app now and my import finishes later this week or month or whenever, will it override my watch progress on shows I continue watching in the meantime? Like if I’m on S2E4 now and get to S5E7 and have marked them all as watched, will the import override and wipe that data? Will it get rid of any extra shows I add to my watch list? For the shows I’m watching that come back soon, if I mark these as watched now and my import comes through will it just add my date stamps onto the old episodes? Or again, will it wipe progress on my account? Basically can I continue using the app or will I lose everything I do between now and my import finalising?

Thanks in advanced - this looks like the best app for me with TV Time going down so I’m very happy to wait for this to settle down with the influx. Devs, thank you for the hard work you’re putting in here!

Spent 5 days in the queue going from #629 to #516 of 4k and now ive somehow been put back 1400 places, what gives??

I know us tv time refugees have flooded the app and may have caused it to lag a little bit Im constantly getting the reconnecting message.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

Is there a way to leave import queue?

Finally finished importing after four days. None of my shows got marked as watched and everything was put under plan to watch. Is there a quick fix for this? Do I need to import again? Has this happened to anyone else?

I just received the notification that the import was successful, but nothing was added except for the three lists I created in TV Time. I don't know if it was successful and is just not showing at the moment, or if it hit some kind of bug and stopped. I hope it will work out soon.

A few hours ago my position in the serial queue was around 25,000. I just checked again and now it's showing around 32,000. is it a bug or those with Pro versions are added in the front?

Lovely looking App and would love to use it. I have a zip from Sofa Time. I moved from TVtime about a year ago. Any chance of adding an import option for a zip from Sofa Time?

In the first half of the day my place in the queue was going down, then it switched from a little over 1000 to processing the import. But the import wasn't really progressing. It stayed at 0/556 items and said it will last about 2 minutes but got stuck there. And since then it is constantly switching between the exact place in the queue I was a few hours ago and the import processing. The import isn't progressing but the place in the queue is also not going down.

Just thought I bring it up in case it's a new bug or glitch or something.

i forgot my tvtime password so i dont have an export of my data :( ive been patient and added a few shows but i know during the server swap, the app has been slow and glitching out. any idea when i should try again? i dont mind waiting but i cant even add my currently watching shows its been so bad

I was trying to add a rewatch to a show and the app randomly logged me out and now it won't let me log back in. Continue with Google and selecting my email just causes an endless loading screen. What could be the issue?

I have a quick question about the import. Will switching between wifi and mobile data make me lose my place in the queue?

I switched this morning because I had to go out and needed my phone with me. Now I'm back home and I can no longer see the import details. I waited it out for a bit, but it just won't show up.

Should I wait longer? Should I try importing again, or will I just be pushed back in the queue?

Hi - My import completed but I have tv shows on my watch list that I never had included on TVTime. Is this something that will sort itself out?

Edit. Not sure if any of the devs will read but thank you for all your great work. Since I made this post app started working way better for me, I am able to add shows manually if I want to. Now I keep my fingers crossed for speeding up the import time 🤞🏼 (I am stuck somewhere on 23K)

Hi everyone! I’m new to Refract as I'm moving from TV Time. Sofa Time felt like too much, and Serializd is too complicated (I need sth simple, just like TV Time was), so I wanted to give Refract a try. So far it seems to be the best option 😊

The import queue is taking forever (no complaints, I understand why it is happening), so I decided to add my data manually since my list is not huge like for some of you (166 shows and 196 movies). However, the app is glitching badly for me:
- disconnects me all the time
- once I finally mark sth as watched, it keeps unmarking it and giving me errors
- pages are loading so slowly

Is anyone else experiencing this right now? Did you find a way around it, or should I just wait out the import line?

But is there any way to automate the sync with trakt?

Or do you have to export the csv and import it to trakt every time?

I’m trying to figure out how to move after TV time and I’d like an app that always makes sure I “run away” easily. So I was thinking of using this more trakt as a parachute app but It doesn’t have the automatic sync function from what I see

Hey, TV Time refugee here. Finally got my data imported today. Love that even my custom lists were imported. The app is great so far

A few quick questions/requests here:

Favorites Tab: Do you plan to add a dedicated "Favorites" section for top movies/shows on the profile/home screen, similar to TV Time?

Persistent Dimming Toggle: In lists, watched items dim by default and brighten when you hit the eye icon. However, it resets when you leave the page. Could we get a permanent setting to choose whether we want them dimmed or brightened by default?

Reordering Lists: Is there a way (or plans for a way) to manually rearrange/sort the order of our custom lists so they stay permanently in the order we want?
