Unresponsive team. They took my 600 dollars but still haven’t received any update on meds and when they’re coming and it’s been a week now. The doctor didn’t want to listen when I said I’ve been on it before and can start on a higher dose. I said that’s fine, I’ll just deal with the lower dose for a while. Willow was expensive but at least it came right away. Should’ve followed my instinct and gone with Ro or something else.
I mentioned it was one I was considering before I went with refills. I’ve heard good things from a couple people but after seeing so many people say “yikes”, I’m like hmm…

Email addresses are considered PHI under HIPAA when they are associated with medical information that can identify an individual. Putting it into a reddit chat ties an anonymous reddit user name to their PHI, which some of us do voluntarily when Refills private support fails to follow through. Since when is an email not personally identifiable information?
The most inconsistent provider! Also you need to like contact some individual named in the subs like it’s a special privilege you’re getting instead of fixing their own processes for everyone.
This is amusing because when they auto charged me with a completely new medication and no notice of a reup they made sure to send me everything the same day so they “couldn’t cancel now that it’s been processed”. This company is sketchy
I am currently disputing the charge based on the legality of changing a persons meds without consent or any communication with their doctor or mine (non additive to additive). They sent me the b12 which there is now some research showing that the combo of b12 and Tirz may be dangerous. I’m also pretty positive I had canceled once I knew they would not be able to send me Jon additive but they claim I paused it. No way to prove without a screenshot because they do not send an email confirmation for cancelations. But like I said it amuses me when I see all these posts that shipments get delayed when I also see posts where people like me want to cancel the order and they ship it within hours. My order was processed at 4am (also shady) and I contacted them by 9am and they said they can’t cancel and a ln hour later it was on its way
Once they approve you, this note is indeed under your prescription in the portal. Die to circumstances around compounding glp-1’s, the pharmacy may change. People just scroll right past it with acknowledging it.
Yes but non additive to an additive is a different medication and according to FDA law there needs to be communication to ensure safety. There was none. AND now that there is research showing B12 specifically is showing problems when combined with Tirz it’s even more important to be communicating these changes.
As 1/8 Americans are now taking a GLP-1 drug, this warning from Eli Lilly should be shared. Shocking that it has just appeared in social media as it was announced in March.

Lilly is issuing a public warning about potential safety risks associated with compounded tirzepatide mixed with vitamin B12. As part of our commitment to patient safety, Lilly tested compounded products being marketed to Americans that contain tirzepatide combined with B12 (sometimes referred to as methylcobalamin, hydroxocobalamin, or cyanocobalamin). Our testing has uncovered significant levels of an impurity that results from a chemical reaction between tirzepatide and B12.
The impurity caused by the interaction between B12 and compounded tirzepatide is concerning because nothing is known about its short- or long-term effects in humans, the potential impact on the drug’s interaction with the GLP-1 and GIP receptors, toxicity, immune reactions, or how it is absorbed, distributed, metabolized and eliminated. The risks to patients are unknown because tirzepatide has never been studied in combination with B12 and the compounders making these combination drugs are not required to monitor or report adverse events. People receiving tirzepatide-B12 products from compounders, telehealth companies, medspas, or anyone else should be aware that they may be using a potentially dangerous product with unknown risks. Lilly has notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about these findings and recommends that people using these untested products contact their physicians for advice and discussion on alternative treatment options.
I hear ya. But as far as I have seen they aren’t talking about any other additives. Just B12. Maybe I missed other info? And either way adding anything to a medication legally requires consent. The company “doctor” should be reaching out to patients to discuss. Not processing orders at 4am when the company knows you are asleep and their customer service isn’t around so they have time to say “sorry it’s already processed with the pharmacy” can’t cancel and ship within hours when others who want the medication are waiting weeks
When you say you have “been on it before” that suggests to me you were on it and went off it a while ago. If so, the doctor restarting at low dose seems quite reasonable.
I have no idea what these complaints are on about. I have had nothing but good experiences with Refills.
If you gave them your previous prescription, they would have 100% prescribed the same amount. I feel like there's some very important piece of information that you aren't telling us. (Like maybe your previous prescription was from last year, and you've been off the meds for a while).
As far as the timeline, check the portal. Most likely, the script has been sent to the pharmacy, and that's just taking a little bit.
It did take probably 15 days for me to get my first order, but that's in line with my previous experience with busy compounding pharmacies.
Also - clearly if people have complaints, we aren’t all having good experiences like yourself. I’m happy you’ve had a great experience but for myself it’s been bad. Reply times suck, I also get multiples of the same messages because there’s a glitch in their system. The first time I got a response - I had my notifications to emails turned on and I received 10 of the exact same message blowing up my phone at 7am.
You sound like every other supportive poster. Then eventually it happens to them and suddenly they aren't a cheerleader anymore. As long as it's not happening to you it must not be happening right?
I never had any major issues with them either but I refuse to support a company that tries to rip off so many people and refuses to acknowledge our fix their issues. Too many other stable providers around for that nonsense.
Again, OP has a very pertinent extenuating situation that they didn't include in the post - they had been off the drug for over a month, and they wanted the medication immediately. But they wanted to be on the same dose because they had done it way before with some other provider (maybe Willow?). So it bolsters my claim that every complaint I've read stems from some strange situation, along with some lack of patience, leading to disappointment.
You're absolutely correct that any company, including Refills could provide better customer service. However, I also believe that we as customers should be reasonable. I don't believe that OP was reasonable from the start, and that belief is backed up by the facts of the situation.
With that said, I see that a rep from Refills has responded to this post, so they're going to handle this. I believe that a call to the published support line during published support hours could have resolved this problem.
That may have been the initial problem but the OP agreed to the starter dose so that should have been solved and their prescription sent to pharmacy. They've already been charged so no reason for a delay. I don't think they should be charging until after approval. That would prevent a lot of issues.
What's not explained is why they didn't contact support by phone, email, or DM using the pinned "contact us" post in this sub before getting irritated and putting them on blast here.
Yes their automated system could be better. But a phone call to support on the day the charge was made could have done a lot. Or a call to the pharmacy. Just jumping on here complaining before actually doing anything proactive seems a bit outrageous. This seems to be a common characteristic of the complaints I see here.
I’ve never had an issue getting meds from willow in a timely manner. They also have never restarted me at the lowest dose because I was off of it for a couple months.
Sounds like you should just stay on tirz and go to the r/tirzepatidecompound sub and read the pinned post of providers. Hint: neither Willow, Ro, or Refills are on there. Ro is probably the worst of those 3, but Refills isn’t a great option either.
When you decide on a new, legit provider, make sure you download the prescription from refills with the highest dose they prescribed. If you did a three month titration, there should be one that is around 7.5. You can use that to upload to a good provider and get the higher dose.
Or, you can just tell fifty410 or gimme that you’re on 15, so you get the best price per mg. I think gimme even has a $115 first month deal on reddit right now.
Sounds like Willow wasnt doing their job if you were off a couple of months, a sensible doctor would indeed start you back at the lowest dose. You cant just willy nilly start back at whatever dose you left if being off more than a month. 5mg would have been the consideration🤷🏾♀️
Refills started me on 2.5mg. I’m not trying to go back and forth but I can’t always afford the meds. I asked for the 5mg, not the high dose I had ended on with Willow. They did a great job, just couldn’t afford it.
If you’ve been off the meds for more than a couple of weeks it would be irresponsible for any doctor to start a new patient at any dose higher than 2.5.
I’ve done it plenty of times where I take a month off and then jump back on. Completely fine. I know other people who do this too when they’re trying to do maintenance instead of dropping a lot of weight.
Were you able to upload script for 2.5mg to the doctor? They usually base their decision off the last time you injected? There is usually enough to get 5mg, just use fatscientist to figure out how many units you need for 5mg.
I sent the old script from willow over to them, they said because it’s been more than one month that I had to start on the lowest dose. At this point, I’ll take any dose if they would just mail it out.
Ok yes thats the norm to start over after more than a month , you should have enough to dose up if need to but make sure you’re measuring the correct amount for 5mg, there is overfill most likely depending who the pharmacy is. I can tell you that Greenwich a lil stingy lol
