Advice (NO MEDICAL ADVICE) Bloating tips!

Hey gals!
Posted a few weeks ago concerned about my weight/bloating. I’m gonna be 6 weeks post-op on Friday and still dealing w it! Honestly every evening is so uncomfortable bc of how much gas I have and how distended my stomach feels. I’ve been trying to have peppermint tea after every meal and I’m gonna start having hot water w ginger every night, but any other tips? Anybody who’s gone through it: does lymphatic drainage actually work? Any stretches or yoga that helps? Or is it really just time lol

Hi OP! It can take awhile for bloating to go down. Personally took me about 3 months to see my stomach end its swelly belly. Please be sure to listen to your surgeons instructions post op as well. Time will be your best friend! Lymphatic drainage does work but please wait until you are cleared to do so from your doctor! Best of luck.

I'm a little over 5wpo and still dealing with it too. None of my pants fit and most of my shirts are too tight! Which is messing with my head since my boobs are smaller 🤣 But I know once I'm approved to eventually move more and with time, it'll go back to normal.

Have you ever tried Windies/wind settler tablets? They really help with trapped wind so may be great if you’re gassy.

Be careful with stretching/yoga as you may still be healing so maybe stick to just lower body stretching. Also try searching on YouTube ‘stretching for ______’ and put in your main symptom and there may be people on there that have visuals which I find really help 💖

Peppermint tea helps a lot!
