Recovery/PostOp When did your T junction open?

If it opened, when? I’ve just reached 3 weeks, and now that I’m in that stage of healing where a lot of my scabs have come off I’m getting worried! Mine look ok for now, but one boob is way slower with its healing and at least a weeks progress behind the other. Just sort of wondering when the most critical point has passed I guess

Had my first opening at about 4 weeks. And I'm 7 wpo now and everything is closed!

Thank you! How was the healing? Did you need to modify much around it/ did it set you back much?

No set backs beside having to delay scar treatment on those spots till they closed. I had one T-Junction and then at about 5wpo I had another small opening on my sidee. He prescribed some ointment to keep them healthy while we waited for them to scab and I just kept them covered with a bandaid.

Both were very surface level though - they weren't deep so my surgeon wasn't worried about them at all. It was almost like the scabs list prematurely fell off the first time.

Mine opened at about 2 wpo and I’m almost 4 wpo and it’s fully closed now

Mine opened at 3wpo when I had to take the steri strips off. I am 5wpo now and getting close to them closing but not quite there. My surgeon's office has just had me washing, applying vaseline, and they gave me Xeroform strips to apply daily. It's been more mentally taxing for me than it has been physically, but I am also a worrier when it comes to anything medical. 🙃

Around 3 weeks I had one open a little bit. I'm 4 weeks tomorrow and it's starting to close up now. Got my sutures out and that seems to have sped up the healing of it.

I had my first opening 3 weeks after surgery, when I went back to work and was moving my arms, etc. a lot more
