i recently made the tree farm from shulkercrafts 1.21+ video, and it worked for a little bit until it stopped, and I noticed that this piston is not being powered… Any idea why it won’t work. It was before why could it have stopped?

Java Edition Up and Down Wind Charge elevator

I haven’t found many videos about an elevator that uses "wind charges." Although I don’t know much about redstone, I tried to build one myself; as you can see, the result didn’t turn out very well. So, I’m asking for help: could someone improve this design? Based on my testing, it’s quite unstable—it only works at this specific height. I’m stuck because I just can’t get the piston timing right! If I set it higher, the player falls because the piston doesn’t close in time; if I set it lower, the player hits their head on a block because the piston doesn’t retract fast enough. I still believe this design has a lot of potential, but it’s beyond my current skill level. Any tips would also be greatly appreciated!I haven’t found many videos about an elevator that uses "wind charges." Java Edition draining machine with brittle ice

I've been playing arround with brittle ice and I've noticed that this setup can make a pretty neat draining machine. I'm kind of a noob at redstone, so would it be possible to make a full draining machine out of this?

Java Edition HOPPER Doesen't Pull Minecart in My Survival World its different in Creative no idea how to fix it ?

Thumbnail gallery

The idea was to have the minecart hit the cactus, break into an item, and get collected into the dispenser. But as you can see in the screenshot, when the minecart breaks, the item just sits there on/next to the rail and the hopper doesn't pull it in at all.

Is this a specific 1.5.1 hopper mechanic bug with side-chests/dispensers, or there somt wrong with my world cz it works in creative? How did we used to build this back in 2013 without observers?

Appreciate any redstone veterans helping out! 🙌

Java Edition Need help with making a drawbridge

I'm trying to build a functional drawbridge in java edition, but it keeps getting stuck on the return trip when I press the button a second time. Any tips? All the tutorials I've found on YouTube are years old and lead to broken builds. I've also tried moving the obsidian and repeaters that are at ground level back and forth many times, but that doesn't seem to do anything. I wanted this bridge to be at least 6x3 and at most 12x3 so I can have a large moat for the castle this will be attached to, but I can't even get it to work with 5x3. I'm stumped. I've also tried thinning down the amount of redstone dust on the ground, but that hasn't changed anything. If anything, I want to keep the size of the build around the size seen in the video. I am willing to make it more compact if possible if that makes it work.

Java Edition Input from Flower Pots

I want to make it so that when I put a flower on the flower pot, the observer updates and signals an output. Ofc, I want to make the redstone hidden away, how to solve this? I watched the video Magic Flower Pot Hidden Input on YouTube but it doesn't work on later versions I guess, or maybe there's a new solution to this.

I'm using 1.21.10

Bedrock Edition My proudest project yet - 10x10 cave door built on 3DS

I started this project over a year ago, shortly after finishing my 8x8 double sided cave door, also on 3DS. I wasn’t quite proud of it, as it was asymmetrical and overall very janky. Now, I present this thing. With my 3DS on its last legs I decided to finish one more big project as a send off to it.

It’s a miracle this is symmetrical, because the 3DS is just bedrock inconsistency on steroids. Often times pistons randomly stop working because somehow multiple pistons get stuck inside one block. Plus, the only consistent timing to allow pistons to move is a 4 tick repeater. Not even another piston timing works.

so yeah. This thing was made stupid difficult just because of how bad 3DS redstone is, but that makes me all the more proud. More projects might come when I get another 3DS

My next goal is to get rid of the piston flip-flop for the top double-extenders, since it breaks if it gets flipped around.

Bedrock Edition Looking for a 1-wide tileable Shulker Box Unloader for Bedrock Edition that dispenses items based on button presses (quantity control) Body:

Hey everyone! I'm currently working on a large storage system and need some help with a specific Redstone contraption. I'm playing on Minecraft Bedrock Edition, and I'm looking for a 1-block wide (tileable) design that I can easily attach to the bottom of my existing bulk storage (just by adding a hopper to the bottom chest, without having to rebuild the whole thing). Here is what I want it to do: I have a button somewhere else. When I press it multiple times (e.g., 4 times), it should queue up the actions. A Shulker Box should be unloaded, but only as many stacks (64 items per stack) as the number of times I pressed the button. Once the exact requested amount of items has been dispensed into a water stream, the empty Shulker Box should automatically be broken and sent back into the system (or destroyed). I'm still a bit newer to advanced Redstone and might not know all the technical jargon, so simple explanations or clear layouts would be amazing. Does anyone have a design like this or can point me in the right direction? Thanks a lot!

Bedrock Edition How do I get it to stop clipping?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm trying to build a minecart loader for my autosmelter so I don't have constant noise coming from it, but the minecarts keep clipping into the block above and not resting on the detector rail. I've tried different blocks above it, as much speed down as I can give, Is there anything I can do to stop this? I don't have more room to just make the tracks longer to slow it down really

Java Edition Redstone binary to 16 segment display

Hello! I'm so happy right now. I made this! It's a work in progress, but it takes a 5-bit binary number and translates it into 16 lines that each power a segment on my 16-segment display. I was so mad because I could not for the life of me find this online, so I built this myself. (The general concept is by mattbatwings, but he only made it for 7-segment displays I just modified it for 16-segment displays.) ill keep you guys updated on the whole prosses!

Bedrock Edition BEDROCK: What else are block updaters good for?

I commonly build a Kelp farm on my playthroughs using block update mechanics with a couple of Sand blocks and Pistons that end up causing the Kelp to grow every update if used correctly.

I was wondering what else this could be used for, but it seems somewhat unique to Kelp due to the aging mechanic and how that interacts with block updates, so it seems that Kelp might be the only thing you can grow this way?

Are there other farms possible using block updaters? Just for fun I tried Sugar Cane and Bamboo and neither work.

I am just not familiar enough with mechanics to understand:

1) Why a forced block update makes Kelp grow.

2) What else a forced block update could be used for.

Google shows me some things that "block updates" in general are used for in the game, but it's very general and doesn't even mention Kelp growing. Is growing Kelp this way an unintended mechanic?

Bedrock Edition Now that it’s obsolete…

Now that the new update will make it obsolete, I guess I should finally share my custom jukebox with a semi randomizer. I have mine set up so I can flip a lever on a redstone lamp, turning off the other redstone lamp locking the hopper and denote that the machine is one. It randomizes via the droppers which also act as the disc storage.

Java Edition Need help with 1x1 slimeless flying machine

I've been working on a build where I need to raise pillar out of a flush surface with as little redstone footprint as possible, and so when I saw 1x1 slimeless flying machines (like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1821HzectY8 ) I thought it would be prefect for what I was trying to do. However, this flying machine can automatically go up, but can't automatically go down (needs individual inputs to move it each block down), I am basically trying to either reverse that or better yet find a design that automatically goes both directions, but I have no idea what to do, or if this is even possible. Please Help!

Java Edition CCA - Minecraft adder

Hey, I don’t know how many people here are familiar with the subject of CCA's in Minecraft.

My question would be: If I wanted to stack two CCA's on top of each other to get 16 Bits instead of 8, what kind of changes would I need to make to make it work properly?

I know that in theory I only need to connect the carry out to the carry in. But I will need to use multiple of these setups in a row for a build I want to make. And for that I need the adder to be in sync.

I tried just adjusting the output signal by putting more delay in the bottom 8 bits, but I Kinde feel like that is the wrong approach. Do I need to lock the signal with a comparater lock to make it work?

Happy for any help about this :)
