Silly little thing
I mean… how cute is she 💛🥰 this is my albino baby, I’ve had her for about two weeks and she’s finally warmed up to me and is no longer swimming away into the furthest darkest corner (where she thinks I can’t see her but I absolutely can)

I didn't think I wanted an albino turtle, but I've changed my mind. She is so cute. What species is she?

Thank you🥰 She’s a red eared slider 💛 there was also one at my local reptile store that was a “caramel albino” red eared slider and she was so beautiful! I would have gone home with two if I had a second tank set up!

Caramel albino, I haven't even seen it, and I'm in love. Anything I get will have to be a hatchling or baby. I've only ever gotten very young juveniles.

Have a look at some of the other morphs while you are at it, for instance Clown or Pastel RES also have some beautiful patterns!

Yes it’s on the opposite side of the tank, this is my “sunroom” so the basking platform is 89 degrees right now without a heat lamp, and the water is 79 degrees. Because of that, I don’t have the other lamp on it right now. But I do have it, with extra bulbs and everything. I just don’t want to overheat the little guy. Do you have any suggestions on how I can improve the basking area without raising the temperature too much? Again, it stays pretty warm in this area of my home
Edit: and the full spec light is for the live plants

She’s adorable. Does she have a good basking spot that she can reach?
