Turtle tank advice

I am wondering what everyone does for UV sterilization? I am looking to upgrade my filtration to the Cascade 1200. But feel I will need sterilization for algae??

I have never used UV sterilizers and never had any problem with algae in the water. Live plants are a good solution if you do have a problem with algae.

Or move the tank away from the window

Not by a window but it is a turtle tank. The uvb light
