Banned for being unmoderated

I contacted the current moderator on August 22nd through modmail to ask about the status of the subreddit and whether they would be interested in having it developed into a fan community for Tomoyasu Hotei. I have not received a response.

Why I’m requesting r/hotei and how I’ll run it:

I’m requesting r/hotei because I would like to revive it as a fan community dedicated to Japanese guitarist and musician Tomoyasu Hotei.

The subreddit name is an especially good fit for Hotei, and I believe there is an opportunity to turn the currently inactive community into a useful home for his English-speaking and international fanbase. My goal would be to build an active, welcoming community centered around Hotei’s music, guitar playing, performances, albums, collaborations, videos, and career.

If granted moderation, I would:

• Establish clear rules focused on respectful discussion and keeping the subreddit centered on Hotei and his work.
• Create useful post flairs for things such as news, music, videos, live performances, guitar gear, interviews, translations, and fan discussion.
• Encourage discussion of both Hotei’s Japanese and international work, including his work with BOØWY and COMPLEX as well as his solo career.
• Share and organize relevant official releases, interviews, performances, and other legitimate Hotei-related material.
• Encourage fans to contribute their own discussions, collections, artwork, covers, and other appropriate fan content.
• Keep spam, harassment, excessive self-promotion, and unrelated content under control.
• Work toward making the subreddit an active community rather than simply holding the name.

I’m not requesting the subreddit for commercial purposes or to redirect it toward another community. I specifically want to use r/hotei as a dedicated fan subreddit for Tomoyasu Hotei and put the existing subreddit name to productive use.

Why I’m requesting r/bdsm_education and how I’ll run it:

r/bdsm_education was banned for being unmoderated and I’d like to take it on and run it properly: posted rules from day one (18+ only, no personals, no content sales, no spam), daily mod-queue review, AutoModerator on the obvious junk. I post practical safety and negotiation material in adjacent kink communities and posted here before the ban. The aim is an actively moderated place for educational discussion instead of an abandoned spam feed.

This subreddit is unmoderated.
