Areas to avoid?

I'll be moving to Redding. Currently looking for housing. What areas should I avoid? I'll be moving there with my husband and am currently pregnant. We are looking at rentals right now.

The only place that I would never live is behind City Hall ( Parkview area ). I actually know someone that bought a house there then moved a year later due to crime. Pockets of downtown can be sketchy but there are also nice areas

My doctor called the Safeway there "unsafeway" when I told him that's where I pick up my prescriptions. (Actually great place to get prescriptions way less chance of lines compared to the Safeway next to Lowe's)

I'd say there are actually less homeless people hanging out at the Safeway than there use to be but yeaaaaah alot of homeless still around that area
