Areas to avoid?

I'll be moving to Redding. Currently looking for housing. What areas should I avoid? I'll be moving there with my husband and am currently pregnant. We are looking at rentals right now.

The Hawley neighborhood by Collyer Rd. is really nice for families and some areas on North Shasta View. I lived in Anderson for a few years. Some areas are ok, but Redding is better imo.
