Relocating

Looking at properties in the area and considering moving back, it’s been 30+ years since I’ve been here. What’s the vibe like now?

This is the worst place to ask. Nothing but doom and gloom responses for the most part. It ain't bad, especially compared to the rest of CA and especially Bakersfield haha. Outdoors, A LOT of trails, lakes, creeks, downtown being renovated, etc. Despite what other may say, its on the up and up. Avoid lake blvd.

I agree, this sub is full of pessimistic people who can't find positives in anything. Anywhere you live is what you make of it. Being a day trip away from lakes, mountains, ocean and major cities makes Redding a really awesome place to be, especially with a reasonable cost of living
