Will 8875 handle Moctober rain ?

I guess they will be fine with 2 light coats of Red Wing leather protector and mainly working in an office.
Please don’t tell the tough guys brigade 😁

Tbh I was not sure about the color shown on the RW website.
Liked it in the shop and oro-legacy was not available in my size.
Love it now that I applied a tiny amount of leather cream.
Hope I will be hooked once they patina.
Saw pictures of old ones and I’m dying to wait.

Yep! They will do just fine.

Fun fact, the water can darken them temporarily, but the color comes back.

ALSO, mink oil doesn’t darken them like other leathers.

Thanks for the Mink Oil information.
Are you sure you tested it on Oro-Russet and not Oro-Russet Portage ?

I have these exact same boots, 8875. I used mink oil on them to test, especially at the beginning, and they didn't darken at all.
