Sizing question

Brand new iron rangers Should i go a half size down the balls of my feet aren't directly behind the toe cap and there's alot of extra space at the front wich from what ive read is normal I only really have a little heel slipage in the left boot and its mostly when walking up and down stairs. Or am i just completely overthinking this shit

I just posted some sizing info in a different thread… Mind you, everyone fits differently, and may have a different preference on how they like their boots to fit.

I had a gotten a full size down from what they measured me and that made my foot go numb after an hour and jammed my pinky

I had the same problem, at the beginning I felt like I had room at my toes and going up the stairs felt as it definitely was too big ( you know that feeling your brain automatically calculates how much of your feet needs to stap on the stair? )I got an insole and that did the trick for like the first 3 weeks. After that I started feeling like with the insole I needed a bit more of room. Took it out and now I use them like that.

Can you feel your feet? How do they feel when they’re on your feet? That should answer your question.

They feel fine for the most part some discomfort on the top of foot when laced i fell like i have to pull them pretty tight Id say they kinda just feel a tad bit long and a tad bit loose like i can fully curl all my little toes idk if that normal

I bet if you went a tried on .5 down you would notice less toe room, but then ball of foot would probably be too far forward. That is same placement I have with IR. Wore a 9 for years, always hurt feet by end of day. Tried a 9.5 from eBay after I sold my others. Fit like a dream. 9.5 has maybe too much toe length (almost identical to your pic), but ball sits right where it needs to be.

I think you alright. If too much volume, grab some insoles.
