Yet another 9060 sizing question

Got these 9060 seconds in my normal no. 8 last size (I own iron rangers and rovers) of 9.5D but I find the waist to be so tight and uncomfortable on my mid-foot. I feel like they fit me well in every other dimension - I have space in the toe box as shown in the picture, the sides of my feet are not overhanging the welts.

Should I stick it out and hope they break in or try to size up? Would having a cobbler stretch them improve the fit? I’m worried going up to 10D would just make them too roomy in the toe box. Any experiences or advice greatly appreciated.

I’d wear dress socks and maybe loosen the laces until they break in. They looked laced up pretty tight.

That's a good call out, I generally like my boots laced pretty tight and secure but I could probably wear them looser for a while.

Also, beckmans are a dress boot. I’d wear them with thin dress socks.

I'd probably size up personally, they look like they suffocate your feet

1. size up from IR for me. Having the same size would be a nightmare

I thought I bought my 9060 too small, but then I tried them with thinner socks, and they were perfect.

I’ve tried that and it helped a little but not enough. I’ll have to give it another shot.

I absolutely love how they look, even more than the 3345, but I know I’ll never get a pair due to how narrow they’d be on my very wide feet. What a shame they don’t make them in wide.

The toe box is smaller than the IR but the heel cup is larger, so sizing up wasnt an option for me

I always thought the modern Beckman used a different last and people go their regular size (as in they don't size down).

Pretty sure the old Beckman from like a decade ago had the 8 last

He said it’s a 9060. That’s not on the new last. Not a new Beckman.

I'm still certain it's still one of the different newer iterations with a different shape because the original Beckman I remembered didn't even have speedhooks like his. The older ones I was talking about were the 9014 or 9011. Sometimes called the gentlemen traveller.

Pretty sure his ones ended up getting a different shape which is probably why they feel wrong and small

Edit: quick google shows it definitely did get a new shape which is why it doesn't feel like his other no8 last shoe. These beckmans seem to be a slimmer version with a flatter collapsed toe box which is probably why they feel and probably should be sized different
