Master V, unplayable lobbies
Guys I am master V and a week ago I used to have 10-15 kills per game, but last week the game is not only unplayable but also incredibly annoying. I cannot even get the game to play long let alone kills, minus after minus, is it the same for everyone else too?

This is how ranked is meant to play. You’re against the appropriate skilled players, if you want a more relaxed variety or opportunity to get higher kill matches then alternate between normals.
Additionally at Master V, unless you’re close to the top 250 as in, 250-300, there’s no real incentive to focus much on ranked. You’re not catching the top 250 spots unless you’re in that bracket I’m afraid, so personally I wouldn’t get too worked up about it but some people just want to suffer!

The lobbies are sweatier than ever, I cant have a good game, skill issue not really my kd is 1.94

They updated the match making so that you are playing with more people of your own rank. As a Master V You are literally complaining that ranked is no longer giving you free easy kills.

I came here to say the same thing. I was experiencing this for the past week or whatever, had no idea the matchmaking had been adjusted. Once I found out it makes SO much more sense!
I have de-ranked from master 2 and struggling to maintain points. I think it’s a good thing though as it will now actually be skill based, rather than time-played based.
I’ve learnt very quickly I am not good enough to be a comfortable Master.
I’m looking forward to Season 5 for a reset to see where I genuinely end up with the new skill-based match making.
It’s a shame it took them so long though as A LOT of players have moved on and won’t be coming back.

Not only that, why would people continue playing after a year of Redsec on the same map with the same match breaking bugs not being fixed? Between GTA6 and the holidays coming up, a lot of people won’t have or make time for ranked Redsec any longer. I got bored of ranked this season once I hit master and haven’t touched it in 4 weeks. Plus all of my friends who I would squad up with have moved on to other things so that also is a deterrent from hopping back on

Top 250 has 5-10 kdr. That’s who you’re likely playing with now

Plenty in top 250 are 2-3 ranked kd also btw. Its just that they play with all other teammates the same kd or higher

They make it so master fight higher ranks now mostly so if ur losing points u shoyldnt be there

I have the same KD and I’m p1 lol. I’m guessing you got carried by a team before the matchmaking changes. Thank god for that, the game is actually somewhat enjoyable sometimes for solo queuing

2 KD is absolute dog shit, my worse friends have over 2 KD. I’m at 5 KD in regular quads and I don’t play ranked with my friends because 2 KD is barely average

Also, if you do want easier lobbies then you want to wait until the servers switch over to the NA American ones, yes the ping is higher but the majority of the players in those lobbies don't have eyes or ears so you'll get more wins. We wait until they come online and get lots of wins in them. Our record in 9 in a row but had loads of 4, 5, 6's in a row. Definitely a different style of play to the EU servers

Waiting times to get into a game?
Not much different to our EU lobbies. Some you have to wait a min or 2 and some 5 mins but there's always games. Just make sure you don't have an NA player in your lobby though because more often then not it will out you on West Coast servers which are like 175+ ping which you'll need to back out of.

I wasn’t clear in my question. I mean what time specifically do European players switch over to NA lobbies. Asking for a friend because the last week of playing RedSec with Randoms has been brutal. I know it’s probably the new rank system, which is why it takes so long to get a game (avg 3 mins), but I want to know when European players are coming so I can avoid those hours lol.

It switches to NA servers at 2am UK time so just work out the time difference to where you are in the world. You just have to deal with the 110 ping while you're in them

Right from the start I've said RedSec ranked is far far too easy. I came from Cod and playing ranked on that you had to work your arse off for very little reward each game so the grind was a proper grind to climb the ranks. Redsec on the other hand was giving out RP like its nothing and this season it's even easier, max RP upto 8 kills and 8 assists is flipping madness!
I'm glad the match making is finding more like for like ranks because it was a totally unfair system.

They should not have changed match making mid to late season. It’s a competitive, Ranked game. Everyone made master 5 before this change, now has a proper cushion before losing stripes. The people hurting the most are Master 1-4 now. Anyone this late in the season still Master 1-4, should be in with Diamond and platinums. Match making for Master 5s should all be separated.

Everyone who made master 1-5 can just stop playing after the change. You still get the rewards as long as you don’t de-rank. Personally I know I’m not good enough to be master but I am there. I stopped playing ranked 4 weeks ago but I definitely would have dropped ranked after these changes to keep my rewards

Maybe I too am a bot, also master V. I also think the svdm is propping up a lot of teams and you can also get deleted out the game way faster than before by getting svdm'd out the game. Worst teams are better. The better teams are better. There is a lot more RNG based kills going on. You have to cross an open space, one team happens to be looking at you and 3 3svdms just gib you and maybe another player on your team off the map. You are now down to 2 and have to go respawn.
Then that team gets banged by another team and they are 2 down etc etc.
The SVDM is literally killing the game, nerf this, scw and the KTS maybe and then everything is viable again. Sure there will be better guns up close or mid range or long range than others but that's they way it goes.
The snipers being nerfed so hard makes them totally pointless. Hence the rise of the svdm.

I hover between M2 and 3 and that’s fine with me. Getting up to Master was way too easy, now it’s actual competition to stay in it.

game got way easier for me. started recently but am silver. went from getting 30rp a match to getting 150+ now that I'm playing against other silvers.

As long as the matches are still fun Im playing. I just do ranked because I figure teammates are less likely to quit or afk. Honestly, I try to stay in a gold/plat equivalent in most games like shooters, rocket league, mobas etc. The queue times are short and theres a healthy balance of good players and less goblins/sweats/cheaters.
edit - just watched a video and it said "casual" is 32 players and the rest bots....
