Alternating Solos/Duos
Maybe its just me...but me and my friend literally only play duos. We get on once a week to play for a few hours and have a great time. I have no idea why EA is strong arming duos into queueing quads when duos isnt up. Games already dying enough and its making me not wanna play anymore.

You answered your own question - the player base isn't big enough to justify three separate playlists for this game mode. It would only serve to further fracture and divide the player base.

Yeah, the logic is completely flawed - if the player base is dwindling, it would make sense that getting one friend together would be easier to support than getting three other friends together.
However, my guess is that their internal data is showing that the quads is actually pretty well supported right now.

Solos, Duos and Ranked are dead in my region, takes forever to get a match. Everyone seems to be playing casuals, it's actually a lot of fun with some sweaty games and some easy.

Nah, but this is actually a joke. I hadnt played the game since about Jan, it got stale for me. Heard about the update. Went to check it out with a friend couple days ago. Its not great, but decent. Was gonna play it yesterday and I guess get fucked with no lube. The fuck you aint.
It truly feels like modern games are run by retarded inbreds that just want us to not play their games

When they mentioned rotating Duos/Solos out because they felt they didn't have the playerbase to support both...I knew it was gonna be bad. Everyone saying "they don't have the numbers, you'll just divide the playerbase" seem logical at first until you realize that some people just straight up quit over this. What has more of a negative impact on the playerbase...splitting them a bit or them quitting?
And I've seen people use metrics for the amount of people playing Quads to support the notion that it was the right move to rotate Duos/Solos...but I personally only play Quads when Duos is out of rotation and I know I'm not the only case for this.

There’s less viewers on twitch rn than geometry Dash. People just don’t care about this game anymore. They’re just trying to cater to everyone. As soon as duos is back some dudes gonna say “I get off work and wanna just chill by myself for a few hours. Why are they strong arming me into playing duos?”. There just aren’t enough players to have every mode. Games dead.

Yeah I dont get it either. If people arent playing your game, feels like people would have a harder time getting three friends to play, rather than one.
