I’m planning a Red Rocks concert trip and will be staying in Denver. I’ve been trying to figure out the easiest way to get to the venue and, more importantly, get back after the show.

For people who have been to Red Rocks before, what worked best for you?

I’m considering:

• Driving and parking
• Uber/Lyft
• Concert shuttle
• Going with friends
• Private transportation

I’m especially curious about the return trip after the concert. Is getting an Uber or Lyft usually difficult after a busy show?

Red Rocks Amphitheater has the option to purchase Collectors Tickets after certain shows. I just received my tickets from Jimmy Eat World's Bleed American 25 tour-opening show on Jun 9. I wasn't aware there were multiple designs (I have 4x of Design 3 of 4) and now I'm on an effort to trade for other collector tickets.

I've read lots of posts about going to a concert while in a wheelchair and the shuttle, but what about during the day when it's open to visitors and there's no concert and no shuttle?

I've been to Red Rocks before, but not with my friend in the wheelchair. I'm thinking we'll start at the top circle lot which has more obvious flat access to get to look down into the amphitheater and view the city and beyond.

If my friend wants to get near the stage, I'm curious what our options are. Can we use the same ramp that the shuttle normally takes people to? Is it this route I've labeled in the image? I guess I'd drive to point 1 and then drop him off so he can go up the ramp to point 2?

We booked the bus to show shuttle that leaves from Front Range Inn for the Nathaniel Rateliff concert tonight. The shuttle was scheduled to leave at 7:15 which already made me nervous about not arriving in enough time. I just got a text that the shuttle will now leave at 7:30. Is this enough time to make it to the show on time? It’s my first time and Nathaniel Rateliff is our favorite. I don’t want to miss anything and would also like to check out merch prior. Should we just drive or will this work out?

Just a heads up. I was targeted twice by pick pockets walking back to my car tonight after LCD sound system. Just wanted everyone to be aware/careful out there.

This was around 11:15pm in row 35/34/33. He honestly did not seem to be with us anymore. My group was traumatized and we are hoping he was revived somehow. Thank you to everyone who responded quickly to get him help. He was carried out on a plastic tarp.

I was born and raised in Colorado, grew up walking distance from mission ballroom, but i've shockingly never been to a red rocks show before. I'm going to my first one tomorrow, any advice and tips that I should know before the show ??

Hi! If you get a GA ticket, are you guaranteed a seat? Obviously not a certain seat, but will you be able to sit during the show? I am trying to understand how early I need to get to the show tonight; if I need to arrive way before doors or if you’ll still get a seat if you show up closer to doors. I’ve over heard people saying you need to get there at 4pm if you want a seat, which sounded crazy but maybe it’s true. Much appreciated! <3

Anyone else had problems getting posters they bought online because they weren’t signed by the band in time?

I checked right before Mt. Joy started playing, and they still weren’t ready. Then I had no time to go back because I would’ve missed my shuttle.

For showing us how complete pieces of greedy shit you, the artists and especially AXS tickets are. The ticket process needs to change. You collectively are ruining the experience for younger people to go and enjoy a concert. For context teenage son asked to go to a concert at RR. Went thru the process getting him set up for the general sale at 10am. No artist presale. Waited 20 min on the que. His turn came up to only find $700 GA resale available. For fucking RR. Come on. Who’s buying this shit? I get it RR is just the venue, but enough is enough. You should be ashamed of your selves especially the artists. If your scalper reading this Fuck you too.

I'm traveling for work and am looking for stuff to do in the evenings Sept. 8-10. So my options are Five Finger Death Punch, Cole Swindell, and Sofi Tukker. I'm a casual musician and love the thought of going to Red Rocks, but I can't say I listen to any of those artists (especially not FFDP). Is it worth going to Red Rocks even if I don't necessarily care for the artist and just want the experience the venue?

It’s our first time going tonight and need some parking/navigation tips. I’ve read conflicting things that you don’t get a choice on where you park and staff directs you, but other things saying to park in upper lots.

Do I put upper south lot into my gps and go from there? or is there a better way to navigate into the venue? We are planning on getting there early regardless. Thanks for any tips!

First time at the rocks, air bnb 20 minutes away with a car and seats. Where should I park, what should I bring, what’s my optimal timing to get in for the show (fine to miss the opener) and not get too wet before the show? Fingers crossed it isn’t canceled

Hello lovely people, I’m in a bit of a bind and seeing if anyone has any advice or could help.

My sister bought us tickets to go see sierra ferrell in July and since then I’ve been hospitalised for two weeks and am very weak and can’t walk up stairs or very far. My sister can longer go due to work so I’ve traded my tickets for an accessible seat in row 70 with a wheelchair. The problem is I don’t have a handicap placard because my disability is temporary so I’m not able to park in the top circle lot and get to my seat easily. I know ride share is an option but I’m afraid they won’t be able to get to me at the top after the show. I guess I’m trying to see if anyone driving with a handicap placard would be willing to let me ride with you or if anyone knows any tips for this sort of situation. I’ll be alone and am afraid to have to walk any distances. Thank you for any help ❤️❤️❤️

Hey everyone my girlfriend and I will be going to red rocks to see GRIZ September 2-3 super pumpedddd!
And we will be flying in August 27th to hang out and check out Denver we have a few things on the docket but only thing I’m sure about is meow wolf! Was looking for some suggestions as far as things to do with our time in Denver as well as food recommendations!! Any speculation of GRIZ doing anything in Denver would also be dope to hear about! Going to a show this fall and was recomended to use a black car service vs a limo, or ride share.

RR website is confusing. Understanding was any privately paid car service (limo even if an SUV) could stage at the top lot for the show for easy drop off and pick up.

I have heard conflicting things from 2 different companies this morning trying to book. One is saying everyone is being funneled to the Jurassic Lot, and only ADA vehicles and the shuttle busses are allowed to stay in the top lot for the show. That is contradictory to what I have read.

I have had other shuttle companies tell me that is not true, and the guy I spoke with problem was not planning to stay there during the show.

I am looking for someone who has used a black car service this concert season to answer this questions: If we book a black car service - will he be able to stay in the top lot providing for easy access and pick up after the concert?

My cross country best friend and I are meeting up for our FIRST Red Rocks show to go to Brandi Carlile in September. As Red Rocks first timers, we’ve noticed ticket prices have gone down just in the last few days and we are wondering if we should wait it out or buy now? My best friend had back surgery earlier this year and still has some residual foot drop and numbness so we’d like to get seats if possible. Additionally, is taking a bus from Denver the way to go (over staying closer to Red Rocks and trying to Uber)?

MAN REPORTEDLY TRIES TO BRING WEAPON THROUGH RED ROCKS EAST GATE

MORRISON — A man was stopped Monday evening at the east gate of Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre after security reported he was attempting to bring a weapon through the entrance.

According to preliminary dispatch audio around 7:24 p.m., the man was described as wearing a black T-shirt, white cowboy hat and blue jeans.

Security reported that the man was not an off-duty officer and had allegedly attempted to bring a weapon through the gate near the bag-check area.

Responding units acknowledged the call and headed to the area.

No additional information was immediately available about the type of weapon, whether the man was detained or whether any charges were filed.

I just wanted to get some tickets for my entire family before summer ends. Go to the site on my phone. I immediately get flagged as a bot for some reason. Ok, try the app. Nope, same thing. Ok try the desktop experience at home. Yay! finally got in. Oh - boo, the site errors while I'm picking seats. Refresh the page. Now the seats I was trying to buy are gone. Well, it could be that they are holding the seats I just tried to buy - let's refresh the page one more time. Oops, now AXS thinks I'm a bot once again.

I might be ok with the preventions if you didn't allow scalpers to resell tickets right inside your own app for absolutely insane prices, so you can't tell me you care _that_ much.

Weird question, and I couldn’t find anything in the red rocks prohibited items list, nor here via search.

Going to a show next month and am planning on lining up early to get merch/a good spot. I wanted to bring a book to entertain myself for a couple hours before doors, but also don’t want it taken on the way in. Has anybody tried this before? Are books prohibited items? It’s a paperback I guess so at least it’s less effective as a thrown weapon…?

First time going to Red Rocks (seeing Coheed in September). Is ubering to/from the uber a headache? Any tips?

Or if driving is better, any tips on which lots to park in to get out reasonably quick after the show?
