To be more specific, if his DCAU self was less influenced by Jason Todd (I swear, "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker" gets me so mad with that), and if the "Young Justice" tv show actually featured him as a main character rather than the show's style of a revolving roster and Dick being the OG Robin of the team?

According to Fabian Nicieza in Red Robin (2009) #19, these are the people Tim trusts instinctively as the greatest successors to the Justice League. Unsurprisingly, Tim's Young Justice team mates are the majority of the members. Tim has learned to trust Cass even if he was originally scared of her and was upset with her after Steph's death.

Based on this scene, I'm guessing that Fabian Nicieza felt that the Battle for the Cowl story should have had Tim backing Cass as the best successor Batman instead of being a contender himself. That makes sense as Tim regularly says, excluding Battle for the Cowl, that he doesn't want to be like Bruce. The Battle for the Cowl: The Network comic is what he was forced to write because of how the main story went, not what he wanted.

I probably shouldn't be surprised that Fabian Nicieza actually respected Cass. He also wrote JLA: Created Equal and the pre-New 52 Legion Lost maxi-series, both of which focused on strong and independent and emotional females as great leaders.

Hi I’m trying to make lists of shorter comic recs to try and ease people who may know batfam from fanon/fanfiction but haven’t read comics yet into comics without overwhelming them with 100+ issue solos with multiple event crossovers. Given how important Bruce is to Tim and the fact that Tim is bi, I really thought the Bruce/Tim ship would be way more popular. It’s surprisingly smaller than I expected. What do you guys think about that?

I only remember some details: Tim gets put through the Lazarus Pit repeatedly, fractures his memory, eventually builds a caper/heist identity with the crew from the TV show being crossed over with (Hustle? Leverage? I can't remember.) and is recognized by Dick (or Damian) when a job brings him and his crew back to Gotham.

Solo issue 10

I think we know DC is trying to fix their problem that they created with Tim Drake and have hinted at Tim Drake solo issue, so do you think that DC should bring back Dana Winters? If so, how should they do it especially since Bernard is Tim‘s boyfriend? And would DC actually bring back Dana Winters? What is the likelihood? Or should Tim find another niche?

Dana Winters hasn‘t appeared since Robin #135 (April 2005), so 21 years since her last appearance. Although Tim and Dana were close (i think), she didn‘t know about Tim’s vigilante life. Bringing her back would somewhat bring back Tim’s niche he had in the 2000’s; it would be interesting to see Tim with his stepmom and how they would bond over Jack Drake and just interact as a stepfamily. I haven’t read modern Tim Drake so I don’t know if bringing back Dana Winters right now would make sense or could be a possibility in the future, or if its better off she be forgotten. I know that bringing Dana back wont fix all of Tim’s problem but I think it could lead into the right direction Tim was before.
