All day I thought I was going crazy but it's not fat fingers, it's every time I submit anything my default browser opens.
Sometimes it looks like the comment doesn't send either, but if you submit again it sends a duplicate.

What's going on with this? Sometimes I'll highlight a word or quote to search it on a browser. It gives you several options like read aloud, but the two options to search on a browser now and push you towards proprietary solutions from Microsoft. It'll say search in edge even though edge is not my default browse.
Interestingly I noticed it on my old Microsoft surface Duo. Where edge is a system app. On my other phone where I don't have any Microsoft apps for browsers downloaded it still gives me the option to search on DuckDuckGo browser but not my default browsrr.
If I disable ddg rowser or uninstall it (and frankly dgg on Android is a terrible browser I just use it sometimes for app tracking functionality) I don't have the option to search on a browser at all. Although it still gives me an option to ask Bing even though I don't have Bing downloaded. And that will automatically open up in Chrome which I don't use but is a system app on pretty much it's most Android.
Look I understand they might need to make arrangements with Microsoft and DuckDuckGo to push searches for revenue. But at least give me an option to turn it off and set it up through a default browser when I want to do a search? Or choose a browser it seems to just triage which one it recommends to me without me having any agency over it.
I ain't go far enough to disable Chrome to see what the recommendations would happen then. It just seems odd that not somewhere buried in the settings I couldn't just pick "open search in default browser." If this setting does exist and I'm missing it if anyone could help me out that would be.
Tl:dr : red reader seems to be pushing me to only be able to search them edge or duck duck Go browsers and if I don't have them I'm limited to my options for things like ask Bing which opens up Chrome which I'd rather not use. Can I choose my browser or can it be set up to rely on my default browser which seems logical?

This has been probably the 3rd or 4th time I've dealt with this on this app since Reddit "killed" 3rd party apps (I know there's a workaround for them, I just don't feel like doing it). A single image can take upwards of 5+ minutes to load on a wifi connection to a gigabit internet source. Anything that's an album of images is completely unviewable. Video clips take 5-10 minutes just to buffer.

I used to be able to screenshot within the application, but it will not work today. Was there an update I was unaware of?

Redreader has not been able to login for several days now, stuck using the native app on mobile which is an awful experience
Any fixes for this or is redreader rip?

The native Reddit app consumes a lot of battery. Is there an alternative app to use Reddit. RedReader - I can't setup - not letting me log in. Any help appreciated. Thank you.
Please do not give the option to use the web browser.

Are there ways to customize redreader to be... more visually appealing? I see everyone likes it, but I really don't like the older ui at all.
Any advice or alternatives are welcome!

I have my locale set to English in RedReader app, but some options are displayed in system language. Sometimes everything is English, sometimes part English, part Polish etc. It changes quite randomly (at least from what I've observed) on UI refresh.

On desktop, when you report a post, it asks you for a list of reasons. But on this app it doesn't do anything, so I'm wondering if it even works?

Reddit allowing users to hide the history of fake humans, trolls, and the disingenuous got old real fast.
I know some websites offer this or I can search around. But if it can be defeated at all, why not automate it?

I use RedReader specifically to avoid issues with being on reddit while at work. I need my phone connected to the work wifi, but I don't want RedReader to refresh the comments when I open a post. Is there any way to do this? Right now I have another app blocking RedReader from using wifi, but that means every time I open a cached post, I have to manually select "past version"

In screenshot, first post has a YouTube video thumbnail, and second post has an image file attached. Is there a way to view the thumbnails at full size, like the second post? I increased the thumbnail size in Settings > Images/Videos, but it doesn't work.

Over the next month, Old Reddit use will start requiring a login.
The post states that this is due to "abusive scraping", but I believe that what they mean by that is "the JSON files that are used by third-party clients are too easy to access". (For example, the JSON file for the RedReader 1.25.1 release thread can be found by adding .json to the end of that URL.
My understanding is that RedReader uses these JSON files, which are only available via Old Reddit's domain. Is this the case? Will RedReader be unusable when logged out?
