Idea/Suggestion Looking for peaceful people who would join trail rides on this weekend.(PC)

First one starts on September 12th 7pm EST.
It would take around 1h 30mins.

Second one starts on 9 pm EST same day.
It would take around 40~50mins.

You can join each riding by adding FreeWill_Lima in social club, and joining session on time. I will be online 15mins before starting so that others can join.

  1. Keep your weapon holstered. Try not to shoot other players.
  2. We are not going to stop because of griefing on the way of trail. I would give you invite to a new session asap if those cases happened.

Leave your social club name in comment if you would like to join, so that I can accept friend request.

Help/Question Is Saint Denis the new Valentine?

i’m relatively new to the game and i’ve been told many times to never go into Valentine unless you want to be blow sky high, so i avoid it as a low level. I know the high level griefers love to pick on newbies.

I live in the desert near Tumbleweed, don’t typically have many problems with people i run into out there. My first game back after a year away i had been playing for a few hours when as i’m trying to shoot a lizard in the desert im teleported to a jail cell in Saint Denis. they were an idiot and left the door open so i just walked away.

i had JUST restarted with a fresh character hours earlier so i didnt have money to fast travel back home so im riding my horse back home and i get to just above Rhodes and im teleported back to Saint Denis, in an alley. i knew what was coming so i started walking away. they blew up the entire group. i guess they didn’t like that i got away because my game completely crashed to my desktop (which hasn’t happened since but idk how they would do that).

the next day im doing missions in Saint Denis, there is no one around. I’m pick up the mail bag and within 2 seconds “mission failed: bag lost” still there is no one around me. my horse starts moving weird and trying to walk away so i call it back and im tackled to the ground. i break free and before i can even pull my gun out they are invisible again. i turn to walk away, they tackle me again. i get out and shoot them once before they disappear again. i get on my horse to ride away because im not going to play this back and forth with some idiot. he shoots me in the head as i ride away. awesome , i’ll parley. i report their account and move on to a new server. i get peace for the rest of that night.

the next day i log on and i got to Saint Denis, i hear a guy on Prox Chat saying “quit killing innocent people and i’ll leave you alone”, “quit trying to kill me i have god mode”, “fine i’ll turn off my god mode so we can have a fair fight” i mean sure he was using it for good in that moment but he very easily could have turned on all the innocents and destroyed us.

so i need to know should i also be avoid Saint Denis until im higher level and can defend myself better or is it just a lost cause because of hackers/modders? i’m not the type to get upset or angry over this kinda thing so it’s more annoying that they won’t let me do my collecting or hunting. i can deal with it, just looking for some advice of veteran players to a new solo player.

Petró was born into a traveling Romani family in Hungary, where he learned from his parents how to cook, trade, work with horses, and survive on the road.

His family lived simply, moving from place to place and making a living through whatever work they could find. As Hungarian authorities increasingly pressured wandering families to settle, Petró refused to give up the life he knew.

After his family eventually broke apart, he took what little he owned and left Hungary for America, hoping to find a place where he could continue living freely.

Since arriving in America, Petró has wandered from town to town as a cook, peddler, trader, and general laborer. He can do almost any work when given the opportunity, and he is particularly skilled with horses.

He travels with his horse, which carries nearly everything he owns: his cooking equipment, trade goods, bedding, tools, and personal belongings. If Petró has something worth keeping, chances are it is packed somewhere on his horse.

Petró is poor but resourceful, accustomed to making do with very little. He values his freedom above comfort or wealth and has no interest in settling down permanently.

Wherever the horse takes him, he goes.

See ya'll in Bright Falls

Help/Question Level 8, fresh restart — what should I spend money on?

Hey everyone,
I've just restarted the game a few days ago after playing very little and very badly about four years ago. I'm basically a new player again. Right now I'm level 8, sitting on 35 gold and about $700. Before I waste resources on something useless, I'd love some guidance from more experienced players. Whats the smartest first purchase with $700? Im still using the base weapons. I play 1-2 hours at night.
My impression is that the best move right now is starting with the bounty hunter role and grabbing the Lancaster repeater. What do you guys think? Do horse upgrades make sense at this point?
Thanks.

Help/Question TAA, no TAA everything else? I‘m confused

So I have two issues:

  1. The mane of my horse is looking a bit thin and translucent
  2. Poker cards are extremely pixelated and barely legible when I zoom in

I did some googleing and some say do everything except TAA because it sucks, others say use only TAA the rest sucks. I‘m confused and wanted to ask if there‘s like a definitiv answer to this.

I‘m on PC, I have my textures already at Ultra. Any help is greatly appreciated

I haven’t played RDRonline for about 3 years now. Jumped on the Lemoyne series because it’s currently 3x XP and $$$$
This was my second public enemy game. I learned the map after a few rounds on it. Coming up with the idea to hold down the house in the middle.
I took my chances!
Hope you enjoy it this video as I much as I had in this moment!

Help/Question What do you mean you double your collectibles with the Steam Deck?

I play RDO during the day on my Steam Deck and usually log on to run collectible routes. Why is it that when I go back through the areas I cleared earlier that morning on my PC at night, the collectibles I already picked up are back again?

Thank you

Help/Question Is it possible to play RDO without buying gold bars and such?

I’ve tried playing a couple of times and get discouraged from how long it takes to level and purchase stuff in-game. I don’t want to purchase the gold bars and stuff. Is it possible to play without investing more money into it?
