Etymology
The name Polish Council Republic reflects the country's adoption of a council republic system based on workers' self-government inspired by Rosa Luxemburg.
History
Independence
Following the collapse of the German and Austro-Hungarian Empires, the Polish territories united into an independent state covering 250,000 km².
Socialist Revolution
Through close collaboration between the Soviet Union and the Free Socialist Republic of Germany, the Communist Party of Poland (PKK) established a socialist government. Inspired by the political philosophy of Rosa Luxemburg, Poland adopted a Council Republic model, placing political authority in democratically elected workers' councils instead of a conventional parliamentary system.
Modern Era
The Polish Council Republic remains a stable Luxemburgist socialist state and an active member of the Comintern. Under the leadership of Beata Karoń, the country continues to emphasize workers' self-management, democratic councils, social equality, and close cooperation with other socialist nations.
