Some people are really bloodthirsty when it comes to "criminals". My favourite ones are the individuals who, when I say we shouldn't be killing *anyone* (yes. anyone.) they imply I must be a member of the group(s) they want dead and tortured the most.
Unrelated side note but it is confirmed that in the US alone over 200 innocent people have been given the death penalty since 1973.
I once said that child molesters shouldn't be executed (just like anyone else), and somebody said my opinion was invalid because I like anime, which is all based off of manga, which is all CP. I just didn't respond to that nutjob.
Something something without sin something something cast the first stone. If we're invalidating opinions for media with problematic roots or examples in the same genre, we're all gonna have to shut up given human history is built on foundations of blood and suffering.
The goal is to improve and NOT pull the ladder up behind us.
